When are bounty participants paid for using fiat?

Hi maybe this is a stupid question but this is for future bounty hunter. Last month I participated in a bounty that gave 200 eth allocations but I experienced a bad thing when selling token from the bounty. their project reaches 75% of the available tokens. I work for 10 weeks and just get a token with a value of $ 8. is that fair? why do not they pay using eth or fiat? If I think they easily buy ethereum for a gift because the price of ethereum in the last month was $ 460.

Wow that is not fair.  You receive only $8 from let say $65k allocations.  Yeah, that is the risk when they pay with their token.  Nobody know what the value will be, if you lucky and that token price go to the moon you will be happy without them paying with etherum or fiat right?

problem is not token value but rules allocation and numbers of partecipants, maybe in your case there were too many partecipants because if you were paid in ETH you would have received 8$ in ETH

the problem is not in the participants but the token value after the market. is this the dump effect of bounty? no! token given to bounty participants 1 month after the end of ico period. why do not they pay participants with fiat or eth? while they earn $ 8 million during token sales.

I agree mate. The problem is the value of market if bounty participant paid for using fiat.

I thought about that. why is the ico project afraid of price reductions due to bounty participants? It could be that the ICO project provides some ethereum to pay the salaries of the bounty participants.

I asked the same question. Most answers were like "project can't pay you back with fiat or top-10 coins because they need these fund to develope their product".
But my answer is, if a project can't afford marketing cost, it is a sign that the project probably will fail.

This is the danger of doing altcoin bounty. You have to bear the risks.

Of course there are other bounties that paid btc or $$, however these are paying very little. A week of legendary account in the most popular forum can be paid as low as $25/week in signature campaign.

If you are doing altcoin, you can get a lot more but you can get none if the project fail. That is why you have to choose wisely.

Bounty hunters are paid for promoting projects and you get paid based on the tokens backing that project. It is a project in the crypto world so you get paid in cryptocurrencies and not fiat.

The rewards depend on the price of the tokens of course, but if you do a lot of work for somes projects who dont get paid you back it's not encouraging.

You worked for ten good weeks and was paid $8? What the heck? There are some bounties which pay in ethereum or bitcoin but it is not easy to participate in such bounties. Talking about why they pay in their tokens is because of the wide adoption of their tokens.

Because bounty is promotion for free. The team of the project pays tokens, which in fact are worthless and are not backed by anything. For the project, this is very beneficial

It really depends on success of the project and on how many partecipants there are in bounty. There are bounties that pay just few $, others that pay more than 1000$..

I'm guessing your 8 weeks of 'work' was posting on Facebook or Twitter? Not really a time consuming task to do, but I get the disappointment with the final amount. Unfortunately that seems to be the way most bounties are going now, nothing like the 2017 jackpots. What to do, that's the risk you take when participating. Most bounties distribute their tokens as bounty rewards; and as some has already mentioned, the ones that offer BTC/ETH are generally much lower rewards. Might as well hold on to them and see if you can get a better return, you're not going to lose any sleep if the $8 turns to nothing.

I thought it would be very difficult. The possibility of that happening is very difficult because the developers would prefer to give their tokens as payment for bounty hunters. However, I myself would also be very happy if given fiat as rewards.
