- As you know. Altcointalk is called a Bitcoin-based forum. The whole system and the new level seem to be very similar to Bitcointalk when they start developing forums.

- At Altcointalk you just create enough posts to increase your rankings. It's similar to the early days of Bitcointalk when people just did it to improve their rankings.

- But the problem here is karma and merit. I do not know whether altcointalk's karma is limited by bitcointalk merit or not. But if altcointalk is growing and there are many people involved in the forum. Altcointalk then follows the chosen bitcointalk path

if many people join this forum, it's very good. we can build this forum together.
but if too many people abuse this forum, maybe the admin will act decisively. it will be better.

Probably not but if deemed proven that the forum is indeed abuse by most members moderator will think twice for this. But the purpose of karma is quite different here. It can be exchange for tokens unlike the merit on the other one needed to increase rank. Ranks here doesn't matter as long as you have sense of accomplishment on discussing and posting relevant topics which adds to the knowledge of everyone on different altcoins. That's the thing this forum is created as far as I know to improve the development of different altcoins by means of proper discussion. Just my thoughts. This one has a better system.

I think all members in this forum are very wise in giving karma, and the admin/moderator always monitors the karmic distribution given to other members. At the moment there is still a forum policy allowance for members to develop and know what cryptocurrency is. In this forum also demanded the quality of the post must be adjusted to the member rank level which in my opinion is the balance given by the system. So, in my opinion there is no competition for the future, the assumption that karma can be exchanged with ALT coins.

This is not a big deal whether admin chose a path like the path of bitcointalk, this is not a competition we are here to learn new things, promote project and also to earn money, instead of talking this about maybe we can try to improve ourselves first to make a quality posts and help each other to learn about crypto. : )

Why would altcoinstalks follow the path of bitcointalk, I guess altcoinstalk has their own plan in future  to make this forum become successful. I've joined here since 2017, never active but I just realized that altcoinstalk  are very organized.

Karma should not be abuse here. It can easily give karma and shouldn't  not be given out of friendship alone. Be smart to give karma to those deserving post. Don't be the likes on the other forum which merit becomes a business of buy and sell so disappointing.

Although bitcoin is the reference why altcoinstalk exist but i do believe it has a big potential to compete and not strict to members who are willing to improve their ranks.

I didn't join BTT at its very first days and I can see that ALTT is following its footstep to attract more members. It's very fundamental for the forum to grow. But I don't think ALTT is a copycat version of BTT. It's just like altcoins vs bitcoin. There're so many things that bitcoin are incapable of and that's why altcoins are created.

There's one thing I can be sure ALTT and BTT have in common: contribution. You come here, doing bounties, receiving airdrop...or whatsoever that makes you financially benefited, then you have to contribute to the forum, make it bigger. Don't just try to spam in order to rank up. That's sustainable growth for both members and our forum.

Agree! we can never know what will be the faith of this forum but I can see that altcointalk will be on good position few years from now. This is the only forum I knew that gives you free coins and tokens for you're being active here. Other forum has way to discuss potential earning method but this one add a supetb characteristic that most crypto enthusiast will appreciate. Plus every altcoins discussion here are segregated that you can see most advance and new update on each project. Truly amazing if you would experience roaming around. Keep it up and soon this forum will be famous all over the crypto world. Thumbs up to moderators and admin that continue improve the development here.

As every member said, every forum has its own rule, and as long as we can follow the rule and not trying to abuse the rule, then the forum itself will be good for every member and even for the new people like me. I don't want to compare between bitcointalk and altcointalk because we have a different way to introduce the cryptocurrency to many people. Although this forum is still younger than bitcointalk, as long as this forum can give something benefits for many people then this forum can get popular too like bitcointalk. The time will answer

I'm interesting in your statement.
As I know, the forum created to share and learn together.
The rank system and m****/karma is good to motivate each member.
But I also very disappointing when it can be business.

Both bitcointalk and altcoinstalk forum are good to participate although there are lots of campaigns at bitcointalk compare to alts but i do believe that soon many campaigns will transfer due to growing members.

Karma is far different from Merit and as far as I am concerned, better used. Here with karma you actually earn points, 1Karma = 300points if I am not mistaken. 10points = 1Alt. So you see, it benefits but in btt, the merit is for ranking and that has led to many monopoly on the forum. I believe the altcointalks forum though may seem similar in some ways with btt, yet differs vastly in operation.
