Ripple Payments App, MoneyTap Launches Today by the Japan Bank Consortium

Ripple announces today through a tweet ” The Japan Bank Consortium launched MoneyTap today, a Ripple-powered payments app to offer real-time settlement for domestic payments in Japan!”

Dubbed ‘MoneyTap’, the smartphone app will enable real-time, round-the-year domestic money transfers between bank accounts using xCurrent, Ripple’s enterprise blockchain network, details from the app’s website reveal.

Account holders at three participating Japanese banks – SBI Sumishin Net Bank, Suruga Bank, and Resona Bank – can send funds using the mobile app, which is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.

This Mobile apps is using xCurrent which is enterprise blockchain system by Ripple company.
No charge wire-transfer between bank and bank. But currently is using 3 bank only and No related is XRP.
