ICO 2017 vs ICO 2018
« on: October 15, 2018, 03:05:05 AM »
Cryptocurrency market had good time with ICO’s in 2017 which had good profit and investors had gained x4 or x5 times profit within 3 months from the coins launch date. However 2018 ICO’s are struggling to reach its ICO price itself once they launch their coins in the exchange. There are good project coins which has gone down to the least price after launch.

Considering the fact, I think 2018 is a challenging and hard time for ICO’s.

Per the report, between January and May 2018 alone, ICO volume is already twice as much as it was during the entire year of 2017. PwC Switzerland writes in an accompanying press release:"In total, 537 ICOs with a total volume of more than $13.7 billion have been registered since the beginning of the year. In comparison, in 2017 there were a total of 552 ICOs with a volume of just over $7.0 billion. Also, the average size of an ICO has almost doubled from $12.8 million to over $25.5 million since last year. "Special mention is made of the ICOs of Telegram and EOS, which reached into the billions. Telegram raised $1.7 billion through its ICO, while EOS raised over twice as much at $4.1 billion.

I think the situation is very different between ico 2017 and 2018, ico 2017 is more interested in dealing with ico so many ico are successful, 2018 on the contrary, more and more ico investors are reduced so many ico are failing or scam

Initial coin offerings (ICOs) raised more money in the first three months of 2018 than the whole of 2017, according to data collected by CoinDesk. At $6.3 billion, ICO funding in the first quarter is now 118 percent of the total for 2017, a figure that might go a long way toward undermining a common perception that the controversial fundraising method will soon be extinct.

I think ico 2017 and 2018 are the same, which only distinguishes market conditions. 2017 have a lot of successful ico projects, while 2018 the influence of the crypto market is not very good, it has an effect on the current ico project.

in year 2017, it is the year of the ICO. I can still remember that each round of the ico have been sold out in just a matter of minute however today, you can barely saw ICO that reached hard cap

ICO in 2017 was far better than what is been seen in 2018. Then, ICOS sell out in a matter of minutes and investors make a tidy profit. But in 2018, things begin to turn sour, ICOS struggle to reach soft cap, scams started springing up everywhere and investors began to keep their money because they didn't want to be scammed or to invest in a shit coin.

The growing number of different ICOs says only that investors need to take a closer look at companies and carefully weigh all their decisions.  And at least - check the project at least for common signs of fraudulent schemes, which are also quite a large number

Before  comparing with ICO project with 2017 to 2018 at first we need to know about the successful ICO project. In the middle of 2017 there were several successful ICO project and the earlier of 2018 there are also had some successful ICO project. But i think 2018 had numerous ICO project.

I'd agree with this only if by "successful" you guys consider those ICOs successful in raising ETH or BTC, and not necessarily those that have successful projects. :) Otherwise I'd disagree. I think projects that are still alive and started in bear market are much less likely to be scammy, and their teams probably have ideas on how to make the project profitable.
