I think Do Kwon should be extradited to United States so they can take care of him properly. That guy has caused huge damages to many innocent investors who thought Terra Luna could be a good asset. Many of the investors have lost millions of dollars because of that guy, and all of those investors should get justice.

Technically speaking, the US should get an advantage over South Korea because they allegedly requested extradition a day before SK, at least that's what the Montenegrin law says. The problem is that in that country it is definitely not known who does what, and who is in charge of what, which is definitely in favor of Do Kwon.

In the end, Do Kwon will be extradited to one of the countries that are looking for him (if he does not escape in the meantime), but whoever follows this case can see that the legal institutions in Montenegro function at the level of kindergarten.

I think Do Kwon would have been extradited a long time ago if he wasn't in Montenegro, i don't think the country knows what to do or what they are doing. I thought they would extradite Do Kwon immediately he served his 4 month ban for using fake passport #moderation  in the country, but they are still confused where to extradite him to, either to South Korea or to the United States, they should simply do what their law says.

I have been following this De Kwon saga since it started, and I knew things are going to get a weird twist when he was found and arrested in Montenegro

Lol, the longer this takes, the more the possibility of this rises, i don't know how corrupt this country is, but with their confusion over whether to send him to the u.s. or to South Korea, they could just release him if he still has good money to pay.

Do Kwon knows he is going to end up in jail for financial crimes if he ends up in the u.s., so anything for the opportunity to go to a far country with no extradition laws with the u.s. or South Korea, and live 'underground'.

This is just another pitstop in the dramatic arrest and possibly incarceration of the Terraform Labs's co-founder Do Kwon for the many financial crimes he committed while heading the said crypto outfit based in South Korea. And with both countries -  USA and South Korea - competing for his extradition, it would be interesting to see which country Montenegro court will side with. Now, wherever the man is going to, I am sure that he will be facing prison terms as cases are now being ready for him to battle with. This is another popular saga aside from the well-publicized case of Sam in FRX who already receive his 25-year sentence recently. I can sense that one by one big names in the cryptocurrency industry is getting entangled with the law and even CZ of Binance is now facing the possibility of some years in prison based on conducting business within USA without the necessary approval from the government. We also have XRP and Coinbase getting their cases in court and all waiting for the final outcomes. I am actually a little bit uneasy with this "cleansing" going on because on one hand we all want scammers and fraudsters to get out from the industry but we also don't want a lawfare imposed on someone that can be sending some chilling effects on people.

I don't think this is in any way going to discourage people from crypto or BTC, yes the u.s. government are targeting crypto services, but names like sbf, Do Kwon, cz, etc, are all very shady people who commit financial crimes, so many people lost all their funds because of some of these people. It is right that they face the law and if found guilty, thy should spend a long time in jail, which i think will serve as a good deterrent to people running their own crypto services in the same way.

I am surprised why this case has not been resolved yet. Do Kwon is wanted for an international crime. He was arrested and should have been extradited to his country to be tried.

I do not know what happened to cause all this delay in his extradition, and now, according to the article, he has been released and is under house arrest, and there is a dispute over his extradition to South Korea or the United States. It does not matter to which country he is extradited, what matters is that he receives his just punishment in the end.

Criminal cases between countries are unfortunately very complex, but in the end, criminals should not be protected and punished, no matter how much there are differences in laws between countries.

I believe it does matter to the two countries requesting for him to be extradicted, the U.S. wants him and so does South Korea, if Montengro extradites him to one of them, the other country will not be happy with the decision. But  Montenegro should have a law on this and they should simply follow it and close this case and delay.

It is better to extradite him to his home country, South Korea, to be tried there. I also heard that Han Chang-joon, the former CFO of TerraForm Labs, was extradited to South Korea in the same case. This is a strange contradiction!!!

I don't think the U.S. requested that Montenegro extradite Han Chang-joon to the U.S., i am not sure, but i think that is what happened. Probably, only South Korea requested for his extradition and that is why he was sent back 'home', reports say that Han could be facing a life sentence for his crimes, now that would be a really strong punishment if that happens.

Country is not corrupt, but some people in power and government are very corrupt, there was some serious accusation about narcotics trading in past.
De Kwon story is much bigger now and everyone is talking about him, so it's not going to be easy for someone to take money and make him ''suicide'' himself.
His deportation to other country is just a matter of time if he survives until then.
