Reputation, Scams & Phishing / Re: Yo mix scam for 1.6 btc
« on: May 02, 2024, 10:14:02 PM »
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate thread, but since it's about Yomix, I'll go ahead and ask here.

Is there anything that can be done with their website? Now that we know Yomix.io is no longer safe to use and has begun scamming those who still use it, what can be done to avoid future harm, aside than the scam accusations threads that have been created?

These are fake rates and the moment you click to transaction the rate changes without you knowing, these are Marchants who create unnecessary pressure to the black market rate.

Ooh now I see. It reminds me of a thread I create in the past about merchants using this method to scam those that are not observant in KuCoin - I guess they have moved their madness to other exchanges as well.

Becareful when using p2p

Yes it's obvious looking at his success rate he's obviously manipulating the system. Scammers like this nain dey cause the government to take nasty actions wey go affect innocent legitimate business users

Sorry to ask, but who will be gaining from this type of trade? Is it the merchant who has that price or the person selling to him? Because from the screenshot above it seem to me like those who wants to sell their coin will be the ones profiting from that increased rate.

I also went to KuCoin to scope around and it seems like they are beginning to spread it to other exchanges as well - I saw some merchants listing sells ads at 1480 per dollar and their minimum trade is just 50k unlike the 7 million in Op.

I don’t know their aim for doing this, but it’s certainly not something good.

Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your experience with gambling?
« on: May 01, 2024, 11:22:09 PM »

I have been gambling normally for four years, four years I have not gained much experience in gambling yet I lose sometimes.  So winning in gambling is uncertain, I only currently gamble to win the jackpot, but no way I have ever seen a jackpot.
I won't say you haven't gained any experience since you started gambling - if there were to place you and a newbie/someone who has never gamble in theor life before to compete in a gambling contest; I am certain that you game play will be different from that of the newbie becasue you already know how some of the things works in a casino, although it's possible for the newbie to come out victorious since the result will be based on pure luck.

But again I started betting on football and cricket, betting on these football and cricket teams is the most current earning possible.  It is also possible to earn money gambling in unique aspects but I am most inclined towards Jackpot and these cricket and football games.

One of the aspects of gambling where your knowledge and skills can help improve your chances of winning. I am also into sports betting (along with slots), but I don't bet on cricket cos there are only a few things that I know about the game. But, when it comes to football that's where I have more advantage.

Gambling discussion / Re: Do People Change Their Preferred Casino?
« on: May 01, 2024, 11:10:24 PM »
For me, it's a NO. I usually don't see the need to jump from one casino to another when the site that I am currently using offers the same thing.

The reason why I have an account in other casino other than the one I am currently using is because I was trying them out to know how they work and also to be able to write a review about them. I am not attracted to their bonus because I already know that the requirements are insane and not something I can achieve.

If the price of dollar drops, then the price of fuel should also drop because the fuel that we are using is been imported to another country for refining before it is sent back and na dollar dealings. I just see some underground manipulation in the dollar market by the government to make sure that dollar price is down, and that is why the Naira appreciating over dollar does not have any significant impact in the local market.

If nor be misplaced priority and rotten corrupt people we have as leaders Nigeria supposed dey import refined products? According to statistics over 80% of refined products consumed in Nigeria are being imported so if you take a look at this you'll see that just tempering with fuel and dollar price won't eliminate the problem, more work still need to be done.

22

From the looks, this casino seems to be a new one if I am not mistaken.

The post is a bit old but judging from when it was made I believe it is not a new gambling site - although it was reported in Bitcointalk that they were using fake teams in their sites and that earned them some negative trust which led to them abandoning their Ann thread.

Voting / Re: TRX or ETH?
« on: April 30, 2024, 11:58:14 PM »
It is clear that the Ethereum platform is more popular and has many fans than the TRX platform because Ethereum is an altcoin that has very high security and has a fairly high trading volume so that Ethereum remains the king of altcoins.

True, the only aspect of TRX that makes people still use trx instead of Eth is “gas fee and probably speed”. Whenever I want to move my funds from one exchange to another, let’s say from Binance to KuCoin due to the fact that Binance no longer supports p2p in my country I usually go for trx.

But when you bring other aspects into consideration Eth dominates in them.

Will this have any effect? For me, I also use commercial banks for my crypto transactions, them stopping the registration of new accounts for those that might want to use it - will it stop them from doing their crypto transactions? And those with an account already will this stop them from their trades?

Instead on focusing more on things that will yield better results they have decided to waste their time on trivial stuff that have little to no effect. Nah everyday new drama Dey come out for this country.

Their next target will be apps that issues virtual dollar cards just watch and see.

Are we in trouble? Mind you he's posts are not entirely bad but I'm just curious how he's able to write more than 10+ in a space of few minutes apart. Normally reading OP and some replies before posting should take more than 5 mins depending on length of discussion. Is this guy bot?

Ps: didn't temper with any of his posts yet....

Having said that, you said "Unijoin does not mix Ethereum yet" Based on my knowledge of your statement it seems like you have the impression that the Unijoin platform will provide an Ethereum mixing service in the future. Am I correct? If yes where do you get the information? Because after the shutdown of Tornado Cash, there is no cryptocurrency tumbler that has the plan of creating Ethereum mixing.

It’s in the website - if you scroll through the page you’ll see where there made a list of coins that they are most likely going to add to their mixing system and Ethereum is among them that’s was why I used “yet”.

Wow, this is the second card @Tribalchief has won, big congratulations to you.

I prefer to paste photos and links that can be included rather than having to copy/paste the same text. After that we can give our personal opinion about the information we want to share. At least that way we can stay safe.

This shouldn’t be a big deal, just make sure to follow the right protocols and you’ll be fine, you do t have to start killing yourself for it. If you know that you’re copying someone else’s work just add link and that’s all, no one will request you to write a long epistle about your reason for using their work as long as it was referenced properly.

However, I will also try out that of Ethereum and make my comparisons.

Unijoin does not mix Ethereum yet, so it wouldn’t make sense to compare bitcoin mixing with that of a different network - it would be better to do your comparison with two mixers that’s present here in altcointalks using same coin.

It is false to accuse demo games for something, as each gambler is an individuality and searches in gambling only what is interesting to him. This is the same blind accusation, as saying that video games motivate people for violence. That after playing shooters, people would go on the street and start shooting people like they did in video games.

To me those two are kind of different - I have played demo game and watched action movie and I know that both of them don’t give off the same vibes.

For example, when dealing with a demo account in a gambling site; the algorithm is built in a way that the player experiences more wins than losses and if it’s someone who doesn’t know how it works or it’s just new to gambling they might think that if they try the real game they’ll be able to achieve the same result. To me, that’s how I feel Demi could bring about irresponsible gambling.

But I still agree with you though, someone who’s stupid and irresponsible falls under the category I described anove while those that know what they are doing won’t fall for it.
