Yobit / Re: What will Yobit's future look like?
« on: Today at 07:52:48 PM »
I really doubt their ability to make a comeback because we already have many better options like Binance, Bybit, Bitget, CoinEx... and users always choose CEXs that are well-known, reputable, have good liquidity, and have many trading pairs to use. They will not choose a small and forgotten CEX with extremely poor liquidity and a user-unfriendly interface like Yobit. I think all that Yobit can do is continue to exist until it disappears  ::)

Well, I don't think Yobit will 100% disappear one day. If Yobit still hasn't disappeared after all these years on the brink, I don't think it ever will. They have been in the market for many years and have had time to raise funds and survive in one way or anothe, and even if users have better options as you say, there will always be curious people who will want to use Yobit for one reason or another. Remember that the signature campaigns they launched on BTT had a lot of users and attracted a large number of people, those signature campaigns ended a long time ago, but there will always be loyal users.

Binance / Re: Binance to be banned in Philippines.
« on: Today at 05:28:35 PM »
But decentralized exchanges are just gateways to other cryptos.
When you try to go for fiat as most users want they can prove to be a honeypot, even with a dex like bisq, the authorities need to catch one trader by doing a trade with him, then they know his bank details and then the bank will give them all the payments he has made and all the name of the ones he has dealt with.
And if we talk day trading, then dex are no solution, the volume, the liquidity, and the speed are still on CEX

Hihi, so that's the list Binance is banned, there should be a longer list where Binance has no license and has been threatened with lawsuits but still operates waiting for the inevitable.

It all depends on the needs of each user and the country where they pay taxes, at least in part. In several European countries it is possible to sell crypto and obtain fiat without the need to do it through bank accounts, there are stores specializing in that, but I can't tell you what it's like outside of Europe, as I've never had a chance to try it. On the other hand, I do know people who have sold their cryptocurrencies by hand in other countries outside of Europe, an alternative to consider.

I'm guessing the list of countries where Binance is not licensed is bigger, but after the news we're seeing about banned exchanges, there's a good chance that Binance will keep losing licenses.

For the teleported users from BTT, any badge fall upon them here will also be notice at the other side and managers will take notice of them. But there are sometimes, it they might be improved mostly for the bad badge owners. And extending to BTT or all stopped here will be determined by the managers. Behavior change. And one thing I discovered is that this forum is more accomodating than BTT.

I'm not sure it's as you say, but it's possible. Keep in mind that the rules of BTT are not the same as on this forum, some of them are not even similar at all. I think it would be more likely that BTT users would notice and report it in some thread, and then, it's possible that some BTT moderator would have it in mind and do something about it. But it's quite difficult, as the moderation on BTT is nothing like that of this forum, and the general rules are very different on both forums.

In addition to what has @Jokers said about the possibility of a user losing the ability to use signatures for a set period of time, we should also note that if the behavior is continuous and the zoom group users do not declare their multiple accounts, etc., there is also the possibility that their accounts will lose rank. It's still early days, and I think it's better to get things right from the start so that no one has to regret the things that can happen. I know many zoom group users will read this thread, so they should know that declaring that accounts is as simple as sending a PM to the administrator.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: "Bitcoiners" film

Paying to see information collected from the internet of material that is available to everyone strikes me as good business for those who are paid, but a waste of time and money for those who should be paying. No matter how good the editing is, or the cinematic quality of the documentary, as some critics say, I don't think $6 is a fair price, it seems too high to me. I hope that the producers have taken into account the time it will take for the documentary to be available on the BitTorrent network, which is inevitable, especially considering the quality of the product and the sources of the material they have used for the editing.

¿Mala interpretación?. Pues vaya...

Decentralized Team / Re: Report Spammers

+2 karma. I have given you karma 2 times in this report.  I always check the report, I delete the post if it needs to be deleted and give karma as soon as possible because when someone reports to Moderator I get an email. But due to some emergency problems, I have not been able to post for a while because I am running a lot in the hospital. But I will be active again soon.

Do things when you can, it's as simple as that. We all have lives, jobs, obligations, and things to do that are more urgent than the forum. Relax and breathe.

+3 for the fantastic work you're doing ;)

Forum related / Re: [Add To Buddy List] ?
« on: March 27, 2024, 06:52:13 PM »
The buddy list is an experimental feature that is still in development which will have various functions. The administrator has the buddy list on his to-do list, but I think he has other priorities now. For now, the function of the buddy list is to know which users added to this new feature are online. We can find these users on the main page of the forum, at the bottom, with nicknames in bold. We'll have to wait for the administrator to add new features and make an official announcement when the job is done.

It is possible that the whole thing is similar to the introduction of merits on BTT, because then everyone received a certain amount of merits, and some became a source of merits. Even if karma was something that existed from the beginning of this forum, it could only be available to admins who, if I'm not mistaken, are the only ones who can give more than 1 karma at a time (maybe some special ranks can do that too).

No, the karma system doesn't work like BTT merits. In this forum no one is a source of karma which is distributed, here every user with a rank of Sr. Member or higher has the possibility to send positive or negative karma even if his karma counter is at 0 and he has never received any. Users, including all moderator ranks, can only send 1 positive or negative karma to the same user every 10 hours. Only the administrator and the president can send more than 1 positive or negative karma without any restrictions.

The problem some of these altcoins have is from the beginning when they call themselves 'the next BTC', i believe every coin should be unique and have their own unique roadmap and use case, you don't have to copy what another developer did on their project, if not you have started to fail already and the project will be dead before you know it.

That's the problem, the projects that say they are the next Bitcoin or that they will go beyond Bitcoin, in addition to the thousands of memecoins that have absolutely no use for the industry or the user, beyond filling the wallets of a few. The problem itself is not that they copy what other projects did in the past, the problem is that there are people who continue to invest in these types of products, which I would never do.

Except for rare exceptions, such as new blockchains developing new functionalities, the market is full of projects without any kind of incentive, to see it we just have to visit the section of new coins/tokens added on Coingecko or Coinmarketcap. Sometimes I hope that this continuous flow of memecoins will stop one day, but within a few seconds I realize that this is just a utopia as it has been the same for the past few years.

hello folks
i am a maniac about graph and statistics, i want to build a similar one https://ninjastic.space/ for altscoinstalks
i just need some time, i think next month i try, for understand why scrape stuff

what do you think about it?

Any idea or initiative that makes us see the development and improvement of the forum will always be welcome @babo. Thank you.

I was coming to ask if anyone has traffic data on the forum as I remember seeing sometime. My personal impression is that it must have stagnated after the rise of the last few months but I also take this opportunity to say:

that I think is a very good idea.

The user @MrSpasybo make a report every month with data about the forum, but does not use scraping to get the information.

This is the latest report: AltcoinsTalks forum simple monthly report: Feb 2024.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Which of these coins is better?
« on: March 26, 2024, 06:11:59 PM »
Which of these coins is better?
Stellar (XLM)
TRON (TRX)
Ripple (XRP)

Of the several coin names you mentioned, a little less popular with me. If you were to mention the names Bitcoin, Ethereum Coin, BNB Coin, Dogecoin, etc. then it was popular with everyone. But these coins of yours are at a very low level in the market.

Refloating a thread that is almost two years old makes no sense, and it's something we've said many times. If you want to say something related to the conversation in this thread, create a new thread and link it to this one.

I think the main purpose of Mixer is to launder money so that in this way hackers and scammers often use Mixer to remove digital traces which are very clearly visible in the Blockchain system. Mixer is indeed a neutral tool but there is the potential for misuse as I mentioned above .

So, if we use your way of reasoning, do knives have the sole purpose of stabbing people?. That kind of reasoning doesn't make any sense in my opinion. The tools we have can be used to do good and normal things, or to do bad and illegal things. It's not the mixer or the knife that does things wrong, it's the person using it and the purpose they want to give it. Internet users, including you and me, have a right to privacy when we browse the Internet, and that doesn't mean we hide anything, or that we want to hide illegal things, it's a right.

Reputation, Scams & Phishing / Re: [Scam] Mllxero.io (with L)
« on: March 26, 2024, 01:33:29 PM »
I think a found a new scam site as well, maybe Mixero can confirm it?
Code: [Select]
https://mixera.io/Sorry if this has been reported already, but if not then another fake and scam site.
I'm trying to look for other scam sites besides the OP put here, and then this site just pop up. They are using Mixero's logo and so I suspect that this is a fake and phishing site. Just need for Mixero team to validate it.

The template is not exactly the same as on the original website, but it is quite similar, which can lead to tricking users and scamming them. The Mixero team should report the website as they did the website I name at the beginning of this thread, to avoid potential scams.

Thank you very much for the report.
