Here I just want to share a little cheating in the https://www.gate.io/ market.
Jupiter will be present in the Gate.io marketplace but not for now because there is already a schedule for each of these listing schedules
But why is it that before this time it can be traded?

After I checked everything it turns out that this is a fake coin from a different smart contract (SC) and for SC jup is now only available on the Solana network but this one is on the ETH and BSC networks.

Is it just about the money?

I think this is just the price chart for the OLD JUP token on Solana, and it's been around since May 2021. I don't follow the development of the Jupiter project, but maybe they had the OLD JUP token at very low price.

Maybe GateIO only has one problem: they cannot update the current JUP price. On GateIO there are only trading pairs with JUP tokens and traders do not have any trading risks here https://www.gate.io/trade/JUP_USDT.

You did a great job in finding this mistake of there's, I don't know how this is possible, I mean public users can't make that listing, so this obviously is a mistake of the exchange, but upon clicking on the trading pair they have provided in the right panel, it redirects us to the real JUP trading pair. And if we see the details of this listing at the bottom. That you can see in the pic below.

You can see it says, JUP has made its ATH in 2021, and if you know it just got listed today. So, they might be talking about some other JUP or they might have made a mistake here.

I don't think that's a big mistake to leave the exchange forever, but it's your choice, I will write to the support about this, or if you want to do the honor then let me know.

Maybe it can happen but the Jupiter platform has never released a coin except now and the jup coin I discussed above does not have an SC on the solana network while this Jupiter project was first built only on the Solana network and not on other networks.
In my opinion, the gate.io team accepts coins without any research and they only think about money.

I don't need to contact them, the purpose of this post is just to share information about gate.io's negligence.
I think this incident only makes a loss for gate.io and lowers people's trust in gate.io

Well, if you missed it, then read my comment again, as from what I am seeing here, gate.io possibly made a mistake in their JUP listing announcement, or you meant that JUP was already trading on gate before it was officially listed? This I don't know, but based on the link you shared, what I've learnt is that, this site - https://www.gate.io/price/jupiter-jup - is not updated with the correct JUP price, or it's possibly tracking the wrong coin, and I suspect it could be this - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/jupiter/, and if it actually is, then their price is still incorrect.

But then, if you click the trade button, you will be taken down to the listed trading pairs available, and if you click any of the pair, you will be taken to the main JUP trading interface with the actual price which is currently around 66 cents, so, I suppose the error in the site you shared here is possibly their system error, or them tracking a different coin.

Now, back again to whether the coin was already trading on gate before gate officially listed the coin as you claimed, this I don't know completely, but seeing that the site you referenced here is price bugged, maybe this also could be a simple misconception on your part.

This is what I meant but they said that I was the one misinterpreting or taking information but it didn't matter because my purpose was just to inform.
From the gate.io side there has been no clarification and from Jupiter's side it did not take action maybe Jupiter already knows that everyone who receives JUP coins is definitely exchanging on the Jupiter platform if anyone makes a deposit maybe a few people make a deposit to the gate.io market because now there are many good markets such as BINANCE, BYBIT, MEXC and KUCOIN and it's not a big problem for Jupiter.

I agree with you. Exchanges should bear responsibility for this because they allowed the token/coin's listing on their platform. Some exchanges only allow the token to be listed if they pay the listing fees, despite knowing that it is a scam currency. Just like the PI network, they haven't listed yet, however there is a PI on Coinmarketcap that is listed on numerous exchanges. That is why, in this case, we must be accountable for what we can manage, such as our finances; ensure that the token/coin is legitimate by checking its social media accounts.

As far as I can recall, no law forbids one project to share the same abbreviation as others, CMIIW. I remember tracking two different projects with the same ticker name, confusing many people. Things can go terribly wrong if one of them refuses to change since it can be a sign of inferiority for their developer. But yeah, exchanges should make it clear which coin/token is listed on their platform, while traders should always double-check the full name for basic due diligence. Especially if you're trading on tier-2/tier-3 exchanges.

Yes you are right it is not fake but for the link you provided it is true but try to click on the link that I posted which is red what is the same as the link you provided, hopefully everyone is saved from this fake coin from gate.io and no one trades with this coin.

I think this is very amazing because for now only Jupiter can make a Solana chain within 30 days Jupiter beat MagicEden and Helium.
