Private messages on telegram

I've been receiving a lot of telegram messages lately inviting me to try a certain website or join their group for this and that. There's even one that offers investment with high profits. I block and report them all.

I don't now if you are receiving similar messages but if you did, you can do the same as I did. Do not bother clicking any of those links sent to you because they are most likely phishing links or ponzi schemes.

Thanks for the article. I have heard about that malware a few days ago but this is my first time reading about it.

Telegram allows users to limit who can add them on telegram groups, I wonder when will they provide users the option to receive private messages from contacts only also. If they can do that, more users will be saved from various kinds of malware and scams.

Not really on stolen personal data. They could have just joined a crypto-related telegram group you are also in and they gathered all members' username there.

It's bots trying to take their chance. They know if the spam a certain amount of messages that a certain amount of people will fall for it. So if the spam 10k messages and get 10 victims they can spam 100k a day and get 100 victims. They rely on these numbers and the fact that at least someone will fall for it and they usually do. It appeals to peoples greed. People who fall for this are idiots because no serious investor contacts you over telegram from the blue.

How they make this all accounts? Dont they should have a lot phone number to do this right?? I do get scam by this peoples and i learn from my mistake. hate those guy so much. they should be caught.

Actually scammer does this. I also get a lot of messages from an unknown person and sometimes someone added me to some unknown group. I have changed a few settings and always block and ignore those scammer messages. In a privacy setting, you can change who can add me to groups and channels option into my contact only then no one can add you into any group or channel. If you have that same problem you can apply this setting.

Like wise me too, on the telegram group i have been received a lot of message to invest on a platform that know have a grantee, which can end up been scam.

Yea, i also receive those kind of message but you can report telegram company about those message and ID so that this ID may be limited or banned by telegram.

a lot of scammers this is true. the main rule of all campaigns, admins do not write to you first. but it’s important to be sure that your telegram is not blocked
