Bitcoin is the market leader, and like it or lump it, it is probably going to puling the market up and down with it for a while yet. Over time, the market should develop into more independent movements, maybe moving more like the general stock market. That could be some time off yet though, at least until the 'general population' start seeing value for the actual use of cryptocurrency as opposed to just investing.

It is not altcoins that push the price of bitcoin up and down. Quite the opposite happens. Bitcoin, due to its high level of capitalization, dictates prices for all altcoins.
Also, one cannot agree that altcoins are trying to simulate the path of bitcoin by imitating it. Bitcoin is a general purpose cryptocurrency. Altcoins come in hundreds of functional varieties. A significant part of them ensure the functioning of certain types of business. Bitcoin simply fails to capture the functional diversity that altcoins perform. Although not all, people also need altcoins.

The name say almost it all, altcoins are simply an alternative to bitcoin, or should be, on the beggining this was the main purpose of the existence, nowadays it not the mains reason anymore and we have altcoins to be an alternative for any kind of crypto/project.

Thats totally not true. Even without altcoin bitcoin can survive. Yes the marketcap will be lowered and thats totally fine but removing some shitcoin on the list could also be a good way to improve the cryptoindustry. I mean a lot of tokens that are not necessary exist and just lured potential investors on good project.

Are you sure that the factor of making BTC up to and down because of the altcoins? I don't think so. We all know that BTC has its own value with its volatility. But it doesn't depend on Altcoin, not because of altcoins making the price up to and down. whereas, the altcoins always follow the movement of BTC.
The existence of altcoins is for sure because it is technology and altcoins include great technology and systems with various ideas. So, as long as the coins are not dead coins or shitcoins, I think that altcoins exist well.

In my opinion, on the contrary, what drives up and down altcoin prices is bitcoin, because bitcoin is the basis of cryptocurrency, most of the first altcoins appeared on the exchange market with bitcoin, so to exchange these altcoins you have to buy bitcoin first to buy altcoins,

Remember when Bitcoin spikes its price in the market few of the altcoins that are on top also spiking and a majority of the
altcoins are dumping in the market as well, but when Bitcoin drop its price majority of the altcoin to increase.

Then there are those that have a utility function. Personally, I appreciate coins with utilities that's why I love the ARCADE platform where hodlers of $ARCADE are allowed to earn meaningful rewards, from various Play-to-Earn metaverse games, without requiring gameplay or even NFT ownership.

It's true what you said, in Cryptocurrency we can only rely on Bitcoin. We need Altcoins to complete all the shortcomings of Bitcoin, there are many new ones in these Altcoins and this is what makes Crypto technology better and faster growing.

I had been here in the cryptocurrency business, and as far I knowis the father of all altcoins in this industry, therefore, when bitcoin goes down its price value in the market for sure the majority of the altcoins will get dump their price too, and when bitcoin goes up or spike the value in the market the majority of the altcoins also get up or pump their prices as well, not because altcoins pushes the price up of bitcoin.

Isn't sir altcoins will not be exist if there is no buyers in trading, so I think these buyers or investors is the heart of the altcoins in trading that is why they exist, because they believed in it and some of the altcoins does have really a potentials to give earnings in the future? It's difficult to invest in a new project without real use case in the future. It's like a meme coin that needs a community to pump and dump. Also this kind of project will not become productive because it is seasonal. some project is not for long term, so be careful. Much better to find a project with utility and can stay in the market in a long period of time.
