Title: Reduce Website Load
Post by: msz900 on January 14, 2021, 04:21:22 AM
Greetings,

The idea is about to reduce the AltcoinsTalk load in terms of space on the server and also by implementing the idea will help to save space, money and increase the website load time.
Idea: While searching for some topic we found many posts related to "Banned/blocked" users who are no longer part of this forum, and deleting the banned user data/record will save a lot of space and also reduce the record per search terms. This will also increase the search time as there will be fewer records in the Database and the query will be executed fast.

Note: You can create a backup of files in case you need it in the future.

IMHO not a good idea. While banning a user admin can look through his posts and decide to delete them if all of them are spamful or has no sence, but deleting all data of banned accounts could lead to gaps in the discussion or other gaps in threads. If it was not a banal spammer it is better to moderate all the posting separately, not as a mass-action. ???
