If you have free money and want to invest for ling term investment, I think It is good idea. But I see the price is high now, I think invest for long term is not the best way to do now. I prefer invest in short and trading.

If you had said that 3 days ago I would partially understand you, but not with the part with XRP, that's not the best advice.
In my opinion you could make a lot of money with XRP trade, provided the judge decides in favour of XRP on February 22nd.
But the other way around you can also lose a lot.
This is not only risky, it is gambling and in no way suitable as long-term advice.
Be quick on February 22nd if you really want to have XRP and the courts decide positively about coin, but buy the deep. Many will also sell on the day because the gamblers have bought in beforehand.
The same happened in January 2018 when there were rumours about Coinbase and XRP, but this time XRP can drop really low.
What you can do now is to buy a small or larger portion of XRP, with the money you don't need for life, and sell it the day before the judicial decision.
Nobody can guarantee you that until then, February 22nd, the price will not go down any further and the hoped for profits will not be profits at all.
That's why I don't believe in a long term strategy for XRP right now, TRX is less risky.

I think ok now there are many coins tu long term investment. Bitcoin is on of the fast choice to long term investment. And others coin is TRX ethereum and many coins are now very good position. So I think you also buy some bitcoin and hold this coin for long term investment. I think you also get very good profit.

Buying XRP is a suicidal decision as it has issues from SEC. Many exchanges will delist XRP soon already process started. So i won't suggest it to buy. Hence TRX, DOT, ADA are the best for long term holding as well as for staking in wallets or in exchanges like binance. I am staking TRX, DOT in binance which is profitable to me and also helps me to hold it.

For me, it's better to buy TRON instead of buying XRP. XRP is too risky, even though this coin is strong too. But it seems like a privacy coin like XRP is less attractive to investors, especially now that many exchanges are delisting this coin. TRON Prefer potency better than XRP, but it all comes down to the individual decision.

Trx and xrp are both good coins for long term investments, trx in particular is the most eye catching cause I can remember clearly when trx was launchedthe current price is about x10 of the current price right now, nevertheless I won't just invest in trx and xrp, I don't think it's too late to still invest in bitcoin as bitcoiners are looking to pump the price of bitcoin till it reaches $100k per bitcoin, so I think buying bitcoin for long term holding isn't a bad idea at all.

I agree with you, TRX is a good coin to hold for a long time, I also want to recommend to you other coins for long term investment, so far DOT and AME are the ones I recommend, although they are still relatively new but I am sure they will provide positive impact for you, namely profit.

It is very precise what you say is true that market knowledge will get where the best choices will go. but also do not underestimate the analysis we might undertake before taking action to determine that the coin is worthy of being a good investment.
Even though XRP is still in constant trouble, we cannot deny that it is still an alternative altcoin that investors are looking for, let's see that its market cap is still stable, indicating that confidence is still there. we will not know in the future whether the management wants to improve so that it still exists in crypto.

Agree, now DOT, LINK, ADA, BNB should include in the list as all of this coins have huge potentiality in the future. Ethereum is the top altcoins so it deserves on top of list. Already DOT started its journey towards the moon. I have suggested few days ago about DOT.

Your advice is very good. I think there are many potential low priced currencies like TRX, DOT, ADA, CUR where investing in the long run will definitely yield good returns. But it is better not to invest in XRP at the moment; Because there is a problem with SEC and very soon XRP is being delisted on a few exchanges.

Some of the top exchanges like Bittrex are delisting XRP coins and yes, it looks like there will be a price increase if you have accurate information about the coin regarding the upcoming price hike, I am still waiting for the XRP price to hit 0.1 but that is difficult due to the XRP trading volume still high with many banking partners ready to accommodate these coins for the common interest.

Both coins can definitely gonna pump in the future, but my suggestion would be buy and hold bitcoin, buy as much as you can cause in the future bitcoin will definitely hit $100k 8), I think that will be possible once the whole 21 million bitcoin have been totally mined, bitcoin can easily touch that amount once that happens, so stacking bitcoin in your wallet isn't a bad idea at all.

I don't think this makes sense since it contains too much risk.
We do not know for sure the outcome of the SEC lawsuit against XRP tokens. The XRP token has been delisted on a lot of exchanges, resulting in a drop in liquidity. Many hedge funds remove XRP from their portfolios, which reduces buying pressure. I will not invest in XRP tokens.

so far the proggress of TRX is quite good and also some development are being made by the TRX team and trx value so far is stable maybe you can try to invest at the price drop, so far price alt is high remains think risk management before investing.

Top coins aren't dangerous to invest for long term. New launched coins are the dangerous one (not all). Old coins already created huge community and big numbers of invertors that support the project. Different from new coins where most of them are seeking and finding people to support their project with equivalent rewards in return.

Well for me I think the coin you mentioned are good coins with great potentials and there are still a bit low in price (TRX, XRP)and in future it might rise so high and fetch much profit for people who invested earlier. Here everything will still depend on how much 10k is a percent of the entire portfolio, if 1-5% percent then this is normal because these are risky projects, but if more than 10, 20 or 50% then these are too huge risks

As at the time you posted this topic would have been a good time to have invested in some Alts/Bitcoin because shortly after, we saw a rise in most cryptocurrencies. I bought some BNB back in February and have made good profits from them too and many other cryptos have done same. I believe both XRP and TRX had some good run too within this period.

As at the time you posted this topic would have been a good time to have invested in some Alts/Bitcoin because shortly after, we saw a rise in most cryptocurrencies. I bought some BNB back in February and have made good profits from them too and many other cryptos have done same. I believe both XRP and TRX had some good run too within this period.
But after all, we do not know when the growth will end, and therefore it is not a fact that the price that is in front of us now will not be acceptable for buying and making a profit in the future. When Bitcoin cost 20K, many thought it was too late to buy ...

Buying XRP is a suicidal decision as it has issues from SEC. Many exchanges will delist XRP soon already process started. So i won't suggest it to buy. Hence TRX, DOT, ADA are the best for long term holding as well as for staking in wallets or in exchanges like binance. I am staking TRX, DOT in binance which is profitable to me and also helps me to hold it.

Pre sale stage completed already and DEIP CEO said that IDO is going to held on December so we can say it is really soon.

If you have free money and want to invest for ling term investment, I think It is good idea. But I see the price is high now, I think invest for long term is not the best way to do now. I prefer invest in short and trading.
