I'm not a fan at the moment as I would prefer using DEXs rather than buying BTC physically. You never who is watching you when you go near these crypto ATMs. You can raise the argument that it's the same as withdrawing fiat but I've read articles about people getting attacked because the attackers knew the victim had bitcoins.

Uneducated people once heard about Bitcoin they only think of it on one side which is huge money. Fast forward to conclusion that they think we have more money or rich in a humble personality. Good to have Bitcoin ATM but withdraw at our own risk. So, @Zed0X is right, better to buy, sell, withdraw using DEX and convert to usdt and send to bank account is much safer than using Bitcoin ATM where so vulnerable for wrong people. Also the privacy matter.

I have been using Bitcoin ATMs for many years and have never had a problem, I am not worried about thieves who may be on the street. There are many Bitcoin ATMs in my city, so I have a variety to choose from. I worry more about thieves who pass tax laws and big banking corporations who also want a piece of the pie.

I don't think ATM will do business in Bitcoin. Btc is a nice and high quality money, but I don't think it will function in daily life for now. Maybe it may never be used in daily life. Crypto coins that are faster than the equivalent of Btc can be used.

I was so amazed before when I heard about this but as time passing by and crypto currencies becoming strongly essential to some countries I can say that bitcoin atm is nothing but simply useless in the future. Because through our smartphone device we can simply make a transaction whenever and whatever we want.

I think Bitcoin ATMs are good at teaching new users and investors how easy it is to transact on the blockchain with a simple smartphone. While it is true that these ATMs do not usually have large amounts of fiat or Bitcoin, it always seems to me a tool that at some point can get us out of a problem.

Of course, it is not easy for every country to accept bitcoin as a legal medium of exchange. because there are many considerations to be accepted as a medium of exchange. although we must admit that bitcoin is a product of modern technological advances. where with advanced technology it should be able to accept bitcoin.
not something that looks easy for every country to accept bitcoin, because it must be seen the advantages and disadvantages of receiving bitcoin and the benefits that bitcoin will receive as a legal medium of exchange. so consideration is needed and a set of rules must also be prepared as well as possible.

I didn't consider some aspects in the world of Bitcoin and ATM globally. I became one sided in that part.
Somehow, it is frustrating that in some aspect it seems life is so unfair for employees (pay tax regularly) and thieves (no tax even they collect millions of dollars) which considering richer than from us (corrupt people and official either). Indirect.

Agree but the transaction fee is as hot as hell most especially if there is only limited atm machines. The fees will always be a downside nowadays even buying Bitcoins on exchanges.

Agree but the transaction fee is as hot as hell most especially if there is only limited atm machines. The fees will always be a downside nowadays even buying Bitcoins on exchanges.
The fact is that some cryptocurrency exchanges provide quite good conditions for buying cryptocurrency, especially binance. But there are exchanges where commissions are too high, and the minimum deposit or minimum withdrawal is too high for a small trader.

You are lucky to have many Bitcoin ATMs there. In my city, there are no Bitcoin ATMs yet. So, I just buy Bitcoin from my local exchange or top global exchanges like Binance. There are numerous Bitcoin ATM installed in some certain countries because of the needs. But unfortunately, not all countries can support or legalize this, But so far, the development of BTC ATM is really increasing multiple times higher. Yes the number of Bitcoin ATMs is increasing and it's a good sign for the Crypto market and thus we can hope the adoption of Cryptos will also be increased. Even I have never seen a bitcoin machine but love to use it sometime later. This is the right way to attract more investors to the Crypto market. Coinatmradar data is very controversal. It shows that there are several ATMs in my town. I've checked them, one was just a store, that once said they would accept bitcoin as a payment. The other ATM turned to be an office with exchange. They did not ask for KYC, yet there were lots of cameras around.

In my country there are 110 Bitcoin ATMs at the moment (according to data from March 2021) and I am sure that at least 20 more (I know some of the people in charge of installing them) ATMs will be installed before the end of the year. On the other hand, the laws still have many legal loopholes and it is difficult and slow to operate with typical transfers, which is why more and more ATMs are being installed.

It just makes it easier to access bitcoins now and no more. Bitcoin in Bangladesh is illegal so no bitcoin bank has been set up in Bangladesh. But our neighboring country India has recently set up a bitcoin bank. Despite being the most populous country in the world, all countries give more priority to India in terms of trade. So India and Bitcoin have set up. Bitcoin ATM already exist particularly in early crypto adapters though we may encounter BTC ATM in some countries which not really a legal either illegal. It just happen better say in neutral side. While in El Salvador is different case. Basically if they made BTC a legal tender then they would do/create ways to embrace faster BTC at any cost before they'd announced the adoption.

I don't think it is about unclear legality. If you cannot see many Bitcoin ATMs in most countries in the world, it may be not very needed there. We know that most people prefer to trade or to transfer Bitcoin (doing transactions) through crypto exchanges. In this matter, Bitcoin ATMs are just an alternative way to transfer Bitcoin. People aren't interested to use it because it also requires more expensive transaction fees.

I think bitcoin ATM is good thing, At several countries have bitcoin ATM, I also heard several member here used bitcoin ATM and safe.
Maybe at the coming years we will see bitcoin ATM will be there at all countries, So trader and investors can used this for their transaction to buy and sell bitcoin.
But I personally still believe in exchange like binance for my transaction, ATM just for my withdraw at local currency.

I'm not a fan at the moment as I would prefer using DEXs rather than buying BTC physically. You never who is watching you when you go near these crypto ATMs. You can raise the argument that it's the same as withdrawing fiat but I've read articles about people getting attacked because the attackers knew the victim had bitcoins.
This makes sense. Bitcoin is already so expensive that a person who buys bitcoins is perceived as a rich person, and such an open purchase using ATMs can provoke an attack by criminals. And people who buy bitcoins from ATMs quite easily come under the supervision of the relevant tax authorities. So it is better to buy cryptocurrency anonymously, because tax legislation is constantly changing and we cannot know what awaits us in the future.

It's good for crypto world , ww can do transaction in ATM, but as we know there are many countries that against bitcoin and altcoins, i think it won't happen at the next few years.Maybe it will be at the coming future.

There is no need for an ATM for Bitcoin because cryptocurrency transactions are now very simple and fast.
The best example is a transaction using BinancePay which only takes a few seconds to send Bitcoin with BUSD conversion.

I think many people prefer use online transaction in their android than go to ATM.
It's the reason why ATM is not busy like the past.
