Will ethereum 2.0 replace ethereum/ defi?

Ethereum 2.0, also called Eth2 or “Serenity”, is the next upgrade to the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum 2.0 will be released in multiple “Phases” starting in 2020 with Phase 0. Each phase will improve the functionality and performance of Ethereum in different ways.

Ethereum 2.0 is the updated version of Ethereum platform. Ethereum testnet successfully completed on August 4 but it full version will launch within November 2020 . I think Ethereum 2.0 platform will replace Ethereum and Ethereum based defi projects because Ethereum has a lackness of higher transaction Ethereum gas fee due to transfer and withdraw from exchange.

What do you mean by replace ethereum / DeFi ? I think ethereum 2.0 is not replacing it but increasing the capacity of ethereum even better, at low cost & fast. Etherum / DeFi is part of the Ethereum 2.0 ecosystem

Absolutely right you are sir, Ethereum 2.0 platform never replace ethereum but Ethereum 2.0 platform helps to remove more Ethereum network fees and increase transactions speed. It helps to reduce the staking problems of Ethereum and DeFi.

Running month November, Ethereum 2.0 platform will launch. Ethereum 2.0 will update a new version of Ethereum. So excess gas fee will remove by Ethereum 2.0 version.
