ETH made me very Angry today

Just wanna share this with you guys...maybe...just maybe it will help calm my nerves down

I found what i consider a gem today, so i was in a hurry to buy some before more people discover it and the price begins to go up, being an erc-20 token and only listed on uniswap and 1inch, i needed eth and i had zero eth on my wallet, fortunately, i had about $163 usd in my local bank account so i immediately took out $150 usd to buy some eth, after successfully buying eth from a centralized exchange, i quickly withdrew it to my trust wallet, the exchange took about $22 usd for Ethereum transfer fees so i was left with about $128 usd when the eth hit my trust wallet.

i quickly headed to uniswap to purchase my precious new found ticket to the moon, with my $128 usd in eth, i could have easily purchase about 2000 of the tokens but due to eth high fees, i brought it down to 1000 tokens so as to enable have some eth left for fees but surprisingly, when i clicked on swap, i was told that i don't have enough eth to cover the transaction fees, how much was the fees??? behold ! $87 usd, i was shocked, i didn't want to buy less than 1000 tokens so i decided to adjust the fees, after adjusting, i was able to bring the fee down to $42 usd, i was warned that my transaction might take a very long time before confirmation o might even be cancelled, i took my shot and clicked the submit button.

so the wait began ...

1 hour -- i was still waiting for a confirmation

3 hours -- i was still waiting for a confirmation

4 hours -- i was still waiting

5th hour came and some where in the middle of it, i got a notification from trust wallet that my transaction has been confirmed... i was happy, i quickly rushed to etherscan to view the transaction. lo and behold,, the transaction was confirmed but the token purchase didn't pull through, it returned an error saying like purchase wasn't successful due to low gas shit shit shit...WHAT THE F...KING HELL .. my $42 usd gone just like that HuhHuhHuh?? i was so fucking mad, in fact, if i knew where vitalik was, i would have called security men to have him arrested, i was devastated, i felt like crying, i was so mad at my wife and kid like its their fault,...it wasn't funny, out of $128 usd, i had just $86 usd left, i couldn't buy my precious ticket to the moon no more, its really a bad day for me today, i lost $150 usd just like that, that was all i had left in my local bank account, and now its gone all because of Ethereum high fees.

I understand your pain. I had a similar situation. The only difference is that I lost about 20 bucks.
After that i have no desire to work with uniswap. I decided for myself that I would wait when the prices for the commission would be normal.

You have a problem with high ether gas fee because transactions on the ethereum network are very congested, I also have the same problem with you mate, but I did not continue the transaction because of the high fee of gas, it seems we have to be patient to see the eth 2.0 network running well to avoid high gas fees.

Really now the commissions are very large. They used to be very low. Therefore, now I practically do not send tokens. The day before yesterday I exchanged some USDT and spent $ 25 on commission.

I know what you feel because I love to trade in uniswap too, but it's about a couple of months ago. Lots of gems there that can easily be pumped, but I already stop when I know that the Ethereum gas fee is extremely high. Trade-in unswap is no more profitable. We all hate the expensive fee and we hate waiting for so long to confirmed. Hopefully, we will get a solution

Sorry to hear that.
Today gas fee is cray damn high.
But to tell the truth, your attitude is not good enough. And it seems that you are not ready in the crypto world. I can imagine if you lose your funds because of the dropped prices of certain cryptos, you will blame everyone. If you cannot change your attitude, characteristic, and even the readiness of risks in crypto, better not joining in this again at first.

Very sorry to hear this.
Etherium fee is all time high now. Uniswap charge very big fee. There are some step you should follow to avoid high fee.
1: use ftx exchange where withdraw fee is zero for all cryptocurrency.
2: before using Uniswap first check Gas fee. When it low then swap your tokens

Ethereum gas fees is now a pain to all users specially when you use any DeFi like Uniswap can take fees $15-$30 or even more. It's better to avoid Uniswap, Mooniswap etc for high swap fees. I am also frustrated with such DeFi' fees.

Looks like now the commission is very large. They used to be very low. Because of that, I also now send almost no tokens.

indeed Ethereum really pissed off a lot of people, it really is too much. I could not understand why transaction fees could be this expensive. This will be very detrimental for people who wish to transact in small amount.

This is a very sad thing. At present, etherium gas free is taken in excess. Due to which all investors have many problems. Especially if you use Uni Swab or DPI, most of them are taken for free. All investors are currently in a lot of frustration because of such a high level of free.

ethereum dev team are taking for granted this huge transaction fees. they don't care if this could somehow ruin the reputation of ethereum platform. All they want is money. Im not using anymore the ethereum swap in a decentralize exchange because of the high has fees. I have few token than is worth more than a $100 but I did not send it to exchange or swap it to other crypto currency because my money might just eaten by the high fees of the ethereum network.

You already knew about the gas fee and still pushed through. You're not really mad about the fees but about the missed opportunity because of the failed transaction. Are you familiar with the slippage fee? Did you know that you can make the necessary adjustments to make sure your swap will succeed?

Why is my swap failing or stuck?

You might be trying to swap a fee on transfer or deflationary token. If so, you have to increase your allowed slippage to account for the fee taken during the swap. Click on the gear for settings and adjust Slippage tolerance accordingly.

Otherwise if your transaction is taking forever or stuck pending the gas included might be too low and the transaction will not be processed. You probably need to speed up or cancel the transaction in you wallet.

You adjusted the gas fee but you did not increase the slippage fee.

Currently Ethereum's high transaction fees are a big problem. If Ethereum's transaction fees are not reduced in the future, then I think Ethereum's popularity will soon be lost. Because users stop Ethereum transactions. I have faced such problems many times. I don't know how long it will take to solve this problem!
