Which coin is next after Bitcoin?

Maybe what we can say is Ethereum because Ethereum has so many ecosystem levels and maybe even if we talk about alternative tokens, 50% of the ecosystem in the cryptocurrency market is owned by the ecosystem of Ethereum or ERC20.
I feel this will give a good positive value after Bitcoin continues to be ranked number 1 on Coinmarketcap and next is Ethereum which has a 50% ecosystem in the entire cryptocurrency market.

But which coin takes the second place after Bitcoin?

For now, there is not potential coins will be the next bitcoin.
But If we talk about potential candidate, I think Ethereum and BNB and maybe several top 10 coins that have potentially to beat bitcoin at the coming years.

Yeah Solana and BNB, especially binance smart chain have shown good progress at last year
I think It will continue until this year and maybe until the next several years

Now, practically, it all comes down to the ability of bitcoin as a whole to increase in price. As soon as the price growth of bitcoin stops, and this will happen anyway sooner or later, the situation in the cryptocurrency market will change very quickly. Bitcoin is already very far behind the bulk of cryptocurrencies, and therefore the possibility of replacing it as a leader in this market is quite logical. Who it will be still difficult to say, since the situation in this market is changing very quickly.

You are right, for me ETH is the second best currency after BTC, although as you say it can never beat BTC, I know that there are many believers in ETH and that it contains many intrinsic projects, but what really moves the market is what is generated In BTC, in addition to the fact that BTC is the only currency that has its own life, ETH does not have its own life as much as they want, you just have to compare that when BTC goes up, ETH goes up enormously and if it goes down, ETH bleeds in a big way.

TBH, I think BNB is more potential to be the next bitcoin, because Ethereum still have the classic problem, expensive transaction fee.
Until now, Ethereum 2.0 has launched but didn't good effect for the gas fee problem.
