Will altcoins survive a long time like bitcoin?

Altcoins is expanding the same as Bitcoin. The top altcoins are evidence that even they are just alternative investment coin beside bitcoin, altcoins are moving upward and continuously helping Btc. I also believe some top ranking altcoins will survive for a long time.
