BTC profit staking strategies?
« on: March 22, 2024, 12:10:21 PM »
In the year 2021 I started trading Bitcoin absolutely it was excellent. I join money with my friend and started trading,    profit staking is important part of any trading strategy. One popular strategy I used was to target the price at which I will sell my BTC, based on the market cap.  Another strategy I observe is to stop loss this part is to protect your profits in a case the price of Bitcoin drops down. It's very important to consider your own risk when developing a profit staking. Short-term or long-term what's your goal?

This strategy may be good for you but i don't think i can stake my bitcoin earned and realized profits with a centralized institution when i have the opportunity of reinvesting my money back to bitcoin and buy the dip or adopt the use of DCA in accumulating for more, the profits as well will be determined by how long am able to hold and no institution can debate on what i can earn from what i have invested because bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency.

I never heard the term profit staking, hmm (don't judge me if I missed this term till now hehe) well, my profit staking scheme is long-term, I don't book profit whenever the M.cap or the coin goes up, I am not into trading, as booking profit time to time is necessary for trading, and we should book profit until we are all out with the capital that we used to invest in that token.

And when you are all out, you are now only playing with the profit so you can take as much risk as you want, but it should be worth the time you have spent in that trade. Well, I was saying I am not a trader but prefer myself an investor, not long term but short term because I started to invest in BTC last year, I don't have much but my strategy is to book after the halving.

No matter what strategy you are using, always put a stop loss. There are lot of strategies that works out there but if we didn't equipped with risk management it's just useless. No strategies that works 100% that's why having a risk management has an important role to become profitable. Always put a stop-loss no matter how small margin you put in.

It's very important to consider your own risk when developing a profit staking. Short-term or long-term what's your goal?

Getting acquainted and managing risks are things one should learn in order to be successful in trading and it does not matter if one i involved with crypto, forex or other investment vehicles. One thing for sure, successful traders are following proven strategies and then they add things based on their experience and that of others. s for me, I am risk-averse person and that is why even if I am into cryptocurrency I still have to get into trading. Aside from hodling, the best next thing to do to make big money is trading and when you are successful you can even capitalize on what you are doing to earn more money in the market. What are your top three advice for people who are just starting in trading?

Do you mean a profit-taking strategy? Your description matches that term, which usually refers to how people take profit from their trades. Profit staking would mean different activities, such as staking your trading profits for passive gains (which I don't recall being used in a trading discussion). How would you decide the sell target using the market cap though? How is the calculation? What makes it different compared to the other strategies such as 10% price movement, using Bollinger band, and so on?

Exactly, management risk is one of the important parts to be considered when investing in Bitcoin. This is to  ensure us to do  what kind of investment that we will take, for short term or long term. So, we will certainly have the strategies to take based on the target to achieve.

Short-term or long-term what's your goal?
I'm into long term holder.
I'm still holding my BTC since the previous bullish era, and some altcoins that are still holding tightly in my wallets.
And this bullish era, then, will become the era to take profits.

I am very aware and understand that sometimes our expectations will not always run straight and smoothly with existing realities. However, at least, we already have a plan on the target price at which we will take profits to accumulate more significant profits. Because, sometimes we will be in a dilemma when the Bitcoin price becomes higher and higher, and then hope for it to be higher again and again, so that it will turn us into greedy. And this is what we have to be careful of, we would be better off managing the risks as well and wisely as possible.

For me long term.

Goal? Of course accumulate in the bear market, save and stack sats as much as you can. It's going to be long and tough and it's a mental game. But when we entered the bull run, or at least this year, all your hardships are going to pay off.

My strategy is simply, wait for the price to hit 6 digits, and then gradually sell.

* $100,000 - sell some
* $150,000 - sell again

If I didn't hit that price then I will just continue to hold.

Bitcoin does not work on proof of stake, and therefore any staking strategies are centralized and you must trust the third party that will give you profits. I believe that this is a risk that is not worth leaving your currencies in the hands of central parties.

One popular strategy I used was to target the price at which I will sell my BTC, based on the market cap.
I did not understand this strategy. Marketcap is the reflection of the circulating supply in the price, and since the circulating supply increases at a predictable pace, the marketcap is a reflection of the price. If the market value decreases, this means a decrease in the price, and it cannot be used to predict the direction of the price.

I don't have ideas with staking profit earn from bitcoin, seems small reward earn every exchange offer under few percentage profitable for staking. Better bitcoin for trading or investing such as short or long term and not requirement for stop loss when trading in bitcoin, increasing price of bitcoin year by year and no doubt for holing until how long bitcoin investing or trading keep profitable.
I trade with bitcoin but take profit with short term, when up few percent behind seems large capital is easily earn up to 300$ until $1000 every days with bitcoin trading.

Why mention staking when you can not stake bitcoin?

Short-term or long-term what's your goal?
Long term will not make you feel stressed and it will not deteriorate your health as you will be healthier than checking the market often.

Some people may think the price has become low and sell. But it will be surprising if the person later noticed that the price rise back fast and not able to buy at the price he sold it or at below the price, but buying at higher price.

I have tried short-term trading but I could not make much profit in short-term trading, here my loss amount is more, so far I have lost more than 700 dollars while doing this short term. I think you should not go for short-term trading unless you have proper fundamental analysis knowledge and technical analysis knowledge. Moreover, if you go to trading without understanding the signals of others, it falls into the line of gambling.
And I think long term holding is good for beginners or all kinds of people, in this case, anyone who chooses Bitcoin and sets a strategy and follows the DCA method and continues investment for long term. I was able to double my currently invested funds on this bull-season.

Short-term or long-term what's your goal?
In Bitcoin, my goal is long-term holding not trading it on daily or monthly basis. I have allocated 90% of my funds into investing and 10% of those into trading. I do trade Bitcoin on daily, weekly, and monthly basis but I believe the most profitable way is to buy when price is at a dip and hold for long.

Those who trade Bitcoin can also get some profits when market is volatile but when volatility of the market is low then it's hard to make any profits trading Bitcoin unless you're a futures trader. Futures trading with leverage is always risky, only those who have huge capitals can go for it.

In trading, it's usually a wise practice to set a target price or percentage at which you would love to take a profit.

For example, if you enter a buy position with 10x leverage and perhaps the price is trending in your direction, if you don't have a certain price at which you already have in mind to sell and take profit, you might still face some losses when the market takes a turn against your position.

That's the reason why some exchanges and brokers have actually added the feature of stop-loss and take-profit to help traders who are not usually very decisive about the time to zoom out of the market.

I have actually had some good and bad experience in trading, and therefore, I feel it's important to be decisive about when to end your trade and take profit.

Yes, I really aggree, in trading, we have to think about many things. Especially related to trading methods, methods, and also several things that can affect profits. However, not everything can bring profits. Therefore, no matter how much we aim for, when we get close, we start to have to be wary of it all and be able to control ourselves so that we don't always have too high expectations. So it can actually be dangerous for us. And the profit setting that we are targeting must be reasonable, don't be too greedy either.

I have actually had some good and bad experience in trading, and therefore, I feel it's important to be decisive about when to end your trade and take profit.
This kind of experience indeed can be good lessons and experiences for us in doing trading. We can take the lessons to minimize the mistakes to be made in the future. Although it is not easy to see any chances again, someday, we cannot ignore the experiences that we have been doing so far.
