It effects all crypto because it is essentially the crypto reserve currency. Most exchanges require the exchange of bitcoin for other coins making it like a crypto reserve currency.

It's because the main currency in crypto market is bitcoin and all the altcoins price will be affected with the movement of bitcoin price. Also the trading pairs in every exchanges where bitcoin has bigger value that can suppress all altcoins price.

It's because the main currency in crypto market is bitcoin and all the altcoins price will be affected with the movement of bitcoin price. Also the trading pairs in every exchanges where bitcoin has bigger value that can suppress all altcoins price.

True and as it should be..  I hear people always saying "lets just trade in USDT pairs and ignore bitcoin" but USDT is just another alt  and any gap caused between ALT/USDT-USDT/BTC-BTC/ALT will be corrected by arbitrage bots.

The next in the table, according to CoinMarketCap, is ethereum with its approximately 41 billion capitalization. Other coins have even lower capitalization. However, in percentage terms, bitcoin capitalization is steadily falling. If initially it was about 94 percent, now it has gradually decreased to 32 percent. If this continues to happen, especially given its current poor situation, then the bitcoin capitalization may drop to a level where it will lose price dominance over the rest of the crypto currency. For altcoins then it will be a real holiday.

It will really effect the price of all crypto coin. Because bitcoin is the center of the crypto market. Of bitcoin failed all coin will maybe failed or if not feild maybe drop. The bitcoin price will have a direct effect on the market place it is really amazing .

maybe because Bitcoin is a very large market, a market where lots of investors enter Bitcoin. and the bitcoin market is bigger than other coins. therefore Bitcoin is very influential on the coin market in all types of coins.

By the way, I often read this question. And mostly, we say that yeah Bitcoin now still really hold the big influence of the altcoins. The price of the altcoins, most of them, follow the progress or the BTC price in the market. Whatever the reasons, BTC is still the king of crypto. So, it is still the standard of the altcoins.
