Just after a serious  downtrend of cryptocurrency few hours back and indicating on CoinMarketCap, Ripple has taken over from Ethereum again as the #2 on market capital, will the trend continue like this?

It is hard, but I think It is possible. Because ripple also go stronger now. Ripple has big communities and reall potential to do daily trading.  Ethereum is going strong too..we will see the good competition of Ethereum and ripple at early next year.

I agree ripple is the best competitor for Ethereum. I think both have different communities and very potential to Investment. Ethereum is the pioneer of smart contract platform and ripple is bank coin. I hope their competition will be a good thing for the market.

Of course,,  Both are different direction. I think Ethereum is still the King of smart contract platform. Has been integrated by many ICO projects. So, I don't believe ripple will replace Ethereum as #2 on CMC .

I agree with your opinion. Ripple ever overtook Ethereum. But Ethereum has bounced back again. Maybe one day ripple will overtake etehreum gain..But I think It is hard , Ethereum market cap is larger now. We will see Ethereum 2.0 will have great future.

Ripple ever overtook Ethereum as the #2 on market capital . But I think It is really difficult. Because I see ripple is going down to number #4 now. USDT tether has overtook ripple for number 3. And We all know Ethereum is maintaining it's position as the second on CMC.

I think It will not happen for the few several years again. Because I see Ethereum is more stronger than ripple now. Ripple is going down to number #4 and the price is down , today at $ 0.27. I still believe in Ethereum for trading now.

XRP fell into the top 4 and lost its 3rd place. I see XRP taking a while to get back to the number 3 position.
