The factors that can scare an individual are numerous and relative to each person. Most of the people get scared when there are governmental regulations or news about the ban of crypto on the media. Even in the various telegram groups, one individual can decide to cause panic and cause panic sell of the coin of a project. All these are sometimes strategies for the whales to get some coins at cheap prices to buy.
what are some of the factors you think can scare you or someone from crypto?

that's right one of the main factors of crypto price reduction. I think another factor is the indication of a scam from such crypto as the developer is exposed to a case that must be punished in his country.

I did a brief write up on this a while ago, mostly based on feedback I got when trying to get friends and family to get involved in crypto, but also from reading through threads on the forum (and other crypto related forums). I've put the link below to check out. Nothing ground breaking there, but I thought it summarised my experiences pretty well, and I'm sure others will relate too.

I'm afraid some big exchange will have problems with the government and it will be closed. This can cause a chain reaction and cause a very large fall.

Personally, I think what can scare someone from crypto is the fact that, a close friend or relative invested in a scam project and lost a lot of money. There is no.way you can win this person to believe in crypto again.

I think when the prices go down and people are complaining, then it scares other people away from investing.

Great points.
In addition, fruitless labour does it fine. This happened mostly where a newbie is introduced to bounty and airdrops, after weeks snd weeks of feeling forms without seeing result he or she may give up. I mean its disheartening, seeing lots of ICO, bounties and airdrops are fake.
Depreciation in value with no stop loss tech in place.
Manual trading and complexity of trade.
Hackers and rumour of hackers is another factor. Can you believe this, just last week a guy hacked my bitmex, next. Exchange, stocks. Ex and two other trading platform. All was done within one hour. Believe me, I have 2FA enabled.
These and lots more had/are forced/forcing people out of trade.

Price down and exchanged banned trading.

What scare me is the bounty pool they give to bounty hunters. When bounty receives so much of the coin they end up dumping the coin making it useless for the investors and have to wait for so many years before their coin can recover and they sell it
