There are two types of karma, positive and negative karma, If you want to know how to get karma, You have to read the forum rules and regulations, Read the pinned posts. In that way you'll learn how get karma.
Well, just a quick answer. Constructive, Informative and helpful posts will give you positive karma and the opposite kind of posts will give you negative karma.

Karma is passed out I think by Sr. Members and above for posts that go above and beyond in being helpful. Most Karma is pretty rare since we are in the infancy stage of the forum, and should be more doled out over time.

Yeah, you get a new menu once you are Sr Member where you can thank or punish people on their posts. I haven't used it yet so I don't know how it functions yet, but it shows up once you hit 120 posts.

well, negative karma it is very easy to get ;D you just need to brake the rules ;D
positive karma comes when other users find your post especially constructive or helpfull... if you are an active and interested participant, good karma will eventually find it's way to you ;)
