Title: Why isn't Ethereum itself the "Ethereum Classic?"

What makes ethereum classic just that instead of standard ethereum, I don't really understand the point.

Ethereum classic ETC is the original blockchain of ethereum, ETC come because of the hard fork of blockchain ethereum while the hacking Dao happened, unfortunately there are some people who doesn't support for this hard fork and continue support for the original blockchain that is ethereum classic ETC blockchain.
