Title: Is Fiat completely irrelevant to cryptocurrency?
Post by: Domithra on August 03, 2018, 02:21:28 AM
Fiat still holds its position in our society as it is strongly backed by the governments. Even with cryptocurrency, the final stage of withdrawal is through Fiat after trading our numerous cryptocurrencies on the market. Fiat will become irrelevant if cryptocurrencies hit a global patronage where everyone understands its concept and accept it as the primary means of purchasing goods and services.

Like you said that we all come back to fait after numerous business transactions from our cryptocurrency to fait, i think fait is the final point to get back the initial money invested in a paper form, and so, fait money may remain very relevant but may be less valuable then than now in my opinion.

Actualy this happen thats fiat will become irrelevant soon, once the cryptocurrency system will be implemented to become legalize  all over the world, but as of now thats crypto is lack of incapacity to become competent  into paper money  i thinks its far from the vision of what  we want to be expected to happen in the future of the digital currency, thats why those saying a hit of global patronage  where everyone wants crypto a primary means of purchasing goods and services is far as of now because not at all country aware of this digital system technology.

Fiat is very relevant to cryptocurrency. Coz first of all, it is the measurement of the value of each coin.
I think nobody here invested in cryptocurrecny to increase their coin but to grow their money (fiat). All of the coin you possess were useless if you couldn't use it.
You can pay online using BTC directly but it is still depends on its equivalent value in your local currency or in US dollars.

Not really irrelevant, no matter what if you need to use some fiat or buying into crypto coins you still need fiat to be the medium for this transaction to happen.

Yes, in my opinion, Fiat is able to provide stability in trading. It is different from Crypto which always experiences a significant increase and decrease so that Crypto is very risky if it does not understand how to use it.

Only no one wants to accept cryptocurrency.Governments and banks prevent this. And I doubt that in the next decade cryptocurrencies will be able to displace Fiat.

Fiat currencies are still very relevant to cryptocurrency and I see it remaining relevant forever, in my view. So many people would not have been able to spend their cryptocurrencies with ease if not for the availability of fiat currencies. There is no merchant yet accepting cryptocurrencies in my country so I have to change my cryptocurrency to fiat before spending it.

Because fiat is easier to use and everyone needs more fiat for withdrawal or will finish trading crypto. Everyone can use fiat.

This is indeed true, because the government is also afraid that something like that will happen in my country.

so Cryptocurrency is a progress of the times and the government is not ready to accept it (in my country I live)

Yes, fiat is not related to crypto currency. They are different so if bitcoin is dumped, this will not affect fiat money. Fiat is a currency that can be controlled by the government. That's why the fiat value is stable. While this digital currency is decentralized so its value is volatile.
