« on: October 28, 2018, 03:05:03 PM »
Many people start to invest in Ripple instead of Ethereum. These 2 giants are fighting for the second and third place in the list. What do you think is wise to invest to?

Ripple of Ethereum?

I dont have alot of time to do trading with ripple..So, I prefer invest in ethereum for long term.

Ethereum Forum / Re: What Makes Ethereum Special?
« on: October 28, 2018, 02:53:20 PM »
As you have likely gathered at this point, Ethereum was built to be more than just a blockchain to hold the Ether cryptocurrency token and confirm transactions, Ethereum was built to be an open source and decentralized blockchain-based software creation platform that any developer can use.

At the core of this platform/network is a “blockchain-based smart contract system,” to which one contract type is the native cryptocurrency Ether (which trades under the symbol ETH). However, unlike with Bitcoin and its blockchain, Ethereum’s platform is designed to run code rather than just account for coins.

With that in mind, Ethereum can be used to do a range of things. It can be used make multiple unique cryptocurrencies, to do any type of contract, and even be used to create/store blockchain-based apps.

This can result in unique tokens/cryptocurrencies that aren’t Ether (but use the Ethereum network) like Augur, Golem, Aragon, etc, traditional contracts like insurance contracts (“contract” is a term that encompasses many things here; it goes beyond just basic contracts), and even software (like a Minecraft like game that is now hardcoded into Ethereum’s blockchain; a DApp).

With all that said, let’s go over some more Ethereum facts to move beyond what we have covered already:

FACT: Ethereum-based tokens can be traded for Ether on the EtherDelta token exchange. This is useful for trading new tokens from ICOs as soon as they launch.
Stoked on Ether yet? If not, check out this list of reasons to buy Ether.
TIP: Ethereum is the system, ether is the token, despite this… most people refer to all of this as ethereum and use the terms ether and ethereum interchangeably.
DID YOU KNOW? You can actually create your own token right now (via tokenfactory).
FACT: Ethereum initially launched as an ICO. Meanwhile, many ICOs use the Ethereum network.
FACT: Ethereum currently uses a Proof of work model of mining, but they are switching over to Poof of Stake. Learn more.
FACT: Another name for a cryptocurrency is “token.” Ethereum’s native token is called “ether.” Ethereum’s “ether” token trades under the symbol ETH and it is what most people think of when they think of Ethereum. Learn more about ether from ethereum.org.
TIP: Developers can “fork” off the Ethereum blockchain and create their own tokens (these may have different names in practice, for example KIN). Meanwhile “ethereum classic” is the original ethereum cryptocurrency. Ethereum classic still trades on cryptocurrency exchanges and can be used as cryptocurrency. A new investor probably just wants ETH (Ethereum’s ether) and a digital wallet like MyEtherWallet (or a coinbase account with a built in Ethereum wallet).[8]
FACT: Ethereum is a popular choice for ICOs due to its capabilities. About 1/2 of ICOs use ether-based coins.

Ethereum is smart contract platform..I think It is the reason why ethereum is special. Ethereum is so popular now.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Crypto predictions 2019
« on: October 28, 2018, 02:47:37 PM »
Given the year that 2018 has been, what are your predictions for 2019 for cryptos? will Bitcoin continue to rise? I think governments will be involved more in cryptos in 2019, more regulation maybe?

I predict, Bitcoin and altcoin will be more stable at the next year. I believe it.

Central bank Governor of Spain has told the cryptos bring more risk than the benefits to get. but I believe on more risk more gain theory. If you can not trust crypto, you will not be able to see its value. Risk is associated with all kinda business. It just has to be calculated properly that which one would be profitable for you.

Please share your thoughts in favor of mine statement or against.

I think every investment has risk. But In my opinion Crypto currency is more benefits than the risk.

The era of the paper money is gradually vanishing, no doubts about that. It appears cumbersome in the physical wallet of people especially when carrying a huge sums around. People's attention is gradually shifting to the digital currencies because of convenience. Cryptocurrency will definitely turn to be the master of all digital currencies due to its fast and transparent transactions.

Yes I think It will happen at the coming future. The era paper money will diminish. Digital era will come soon.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Is Facebook against Bitcoin?
« on: October 28, 2018, 01:54:51 PM »
Facebook and other social media platforms might also have had faced huge losses due to inflation and sudden strikes in the price of Bitcoin and other cryptos. That can also be the reason for them to not accept and allow Bitcoin and others for paid advertisements.
Facebook is not against Bitcoin but rather intends to avoid the situation of misleading its community members through its paid advertisement. Users of Facebook can post crypto and Bitcoin related topics on Facebook without any penalty.

In my opinion, Facebook block adds of crypto currency. They worry about scam.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do ETH have any future?
« on: October 28, 2018, 01:24:01 PM »
ETH was for a long time the biggest Altcoins in my portfolio, but after Ontology was made ETH seems to have been in trouble, the price of ETH keeps dropping and it has lost more than 80% this year.
The total supply of Ontology are 10 times bigger than the total supply of ETH, and the price of Ontology are now around 11% of the price of ETH, this means that if all coins from both project was on the market, and they will one day, then Ontology would have a bigger market cap than ETH.
So what is the future of ETH, I still hold most of my ETH but is worth holding it, or should I go full into ontology, or should I just work away from both coins?

Yes I think ethereum will have great future. It is smart contract and many tokens used it.

Every coin has its own Blockchain and compatible wallet. ERC20 wallets supports all Ethereum based coins but do not support coins built on the STEEM, EOS, etc Blockchain. Sending coins to the incompatible wallet will lead to the lost of the coin.

I think It is possible. We must be carreful to choose the wallet. I prefer use MEW to safe my coin.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: which altcoins have the best technology
« on: October 28, 2018, 01:13:18 PM »
I want to ask you all, which altcoins have the best technology? please let me know so I can invest in altcoins that have good technology

Ethereum is altcoin that has the best technology.  it is smart contract and many tokens integrate to ethereum.

I here and see that a lot of people are selling their altcoins for this reason or for that reason. In some cases I here that people are even spending their altcoins to buy Bitcoin. Now that one really has me confused. To me it’s way to early to be selling your altcoins. It’s like selling an original painting before it even gains in value or while it is still gaining in value. What smart investor does that unless they are selling out of fear or because they are desperate. For me I am holding all of my coins for now because it is way to early to even think about selling your altcoins; what say you?

I dont agree mate. By seeing the market is red now. I will hold my altcoin, dont sell it. the bull market will come soon.
