USA Pres. Trump is not a fan of Bitcoin

In one of his recent tweets, the POTUS said he is not a fan of bicoin and other cryptocurrencies saying that its value is highly volatile and out of thin air.

I am not a fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, which are not money, and whose value is highly volatile and based on thin air. Unregulated Crypto Assets can facilitate unlawful behavior, including drug trade and other illegal activity

It seems to me that this is another attempt to discredit bitcoin because of the incoming bullrun. Just like how some of the known personalities in financial institutions did before. Are you bullish?

He wants to preserve the diminishing value/image of the US Dollars that's why he is coming with this statements. I think he and other people in the financial institutions fears bitcoin. It does not really matter if he is a fan or not. What's more important is that he cannot stop the bitcoin train.

everyone has a right to speak what he thinks. He is a president and afraid that somehow bitcoin will post a threat to the financial system of the world if he adds more flavor of it. Crypto is none regulated and volatile that's why he afraid his statement he spark interest of an ordinary people and go into bitcoin and loss.

If Bitcoin will become very successful in the future. I am pretty sure he will be a fan of Bitcoin. But, I noticed when famous personality  put a remark about Bitcoin, it could boost only BTC prices.

I don't mind if he is a fan of bitcoin or not. So far, there are several influencing people who are more interested to follow. This is not kind of negative news for the crypto world because the crypto world will always stand for great thing and great people.

Theoretically, Trump is not allowed to support bitcoin. He can't go against FED's will, which is what cryptocurrencies are aiming to: replacing state banks' roles. But no one really knows if Trump does use bitcoin or cryptocurrency.

Of course he will say that. Governments will always be against bitcoin and other crypto currencies, then they will release their own blockchain solutions and say "It is the best thing ever". All they want is some regulation and control, which is not possible on bitcoin but will be possible with government coins.

Pres. Trump being a fun or not of bitcoin is not going to have much influence on it. Bitcoin train cannot be stopped and it will continue to soar and gain even more popularity world wide.

Transparency is part of crypto, many governments reject Bitcoin because no one regulates prices, if the government has the authority to regulate the price of Bitcoin, then a country or government that manages will benefit greatly from the decline and increase in prices.
at the moment the dollar price is still losing to Bitcoin. This situation made the government confused to reduce the very high value of Bitcoin in the crypto market.

It may lead to a drop in Bitcoin price, but I think it is just a moment. Crypto and Bitcoin price don't depend on Trump's opinion or USA regulation, they are decentralized and purely determined by supply-demand on market. Even the news will bring impacts, it must be a temporary impact.

If he says something it does not mean that he thinks the same. Donald Trump may be a hidden BTC holder, and being the USA official leader, he simply has to support their national currency, dollars.

It could be. Being the savvy businesman that he is, there could be someone in the family slowly stacking up on bitcoin. He may change his tune after his term as the POTUS is over. I can only imagine the effect if reverses his opinion by that time.
