There is a possibility but still we don't know when it will be because we have limited comprehension to grasp the things that will happen in the future. Ripple drop from top 3 in market is finding for now.

Its been on the 3rd position is just by its market cap. I don't see why it should do better in this because ripple is already struggling to cross $1

Coinmarket ratings are not stable because of the market demand and supply principles plus other factors like media influence, government, Mainstream Adoption etc affecting most of the coin/token.
I think Ripple may continue to compete with other altcoins and may not maintain the number 3 position all the time in my opinion.
