What is the disadvantage if engaging in stellar?

It's because stellar is having such a big competitors such as bitcoin, eth, and etc. Even though stellar are doing great most of the people will only notice the popular one. But I guess stellar will bloom sooner or later. We just have to wait to make it happen.

There's no real disadvantage to engage in stellar.  It's a great coin with a great team and background.

I think The disadvantage of stellar  is that Stellar decided to decentralize it’s validated nodes (doesn’t control them like Ripple) but consolidated (read: centralized) voting rights to prevent forks.

I think one disadvantage is from an investment side since stellar aims to have a stable price which will probably be lower than what we would want it to be.

If you had to pick one, its that the price is coupled with Ripple and Cardano traditionally and both have done really poorly lately.. another is its such a high market cap now so theres less room for it to expontentially grow (although 5X is probablyh still possible)... really low price right now though and should be a safe position to sell for 5000-6000 sats or maybe even higher in the next market cycle.

Having say so. One of the setback to stellar is the activation of stellar wallet. In one way, it is a good move as it has a lot of purposes, to prevent spam of creating too many eth add, provide a certain ownership etc. However, this can also be a draw back to a lot of people. Even when i want to help to promote Stellar projects, it is harder than NEM or Neo.

Also in addition, to it's shortcomings, Stellar is less democratic, that is, it does not spread fully to the general public, it obvious that thе founders оwn 90% оf Lumens in my opinion.

Ya no matter how good a coin is the pioneer like btc and eth will surely have advantage over late comers. The disadvantage of stellar should be late comer to crypto space not able to create a bigger awareness to the crypto users.

Exactly, stellar is late comer.
But it has advantages that bitcoin and ethereum don't have.
Stellar is faster, more reliable, cheaper, and very cheap gas fee.
I think , for payment and remittance services, it is more suitable to use Stellar than bitcoin and ethereum

Some disadvantage of stellar can be advantage in my sense. I love how the activation and the min requirement. This verified stellar ownership and reduce market supply. As more and more adoption, we see lesser and lesser stellar.

I don't think it would hurt if we follow Stellar even though Stellar has great competitors like ethereum and bitcoin, but I still strongly believe Stellar will be better sooner.

I think that there is no loss if we are involved in stellar, because I strongly believe that stellar is a very good coin, and maybe someday it will outperform xrp, ethereum and litecoin, and we just need to be patient.
