In my opinion not popular coins are also worth checking. Proper research is so important of course, but sometimes it's the intuition. I invested in FTO which is not 'on top' but I consider it as a good decision.

I like low price coins.  I got lots of LEND, FUN, SC, buying some TRX soon since it's tanked HARD.   Obviously Bitcoin and ETH are good investments as well.  Entire market is down, you can't really go wrong investing in anything right now that is a confirmed project.  Stay away from unconfirmed ponzi schemes though.

hello everyone, really nice topic - thank you for that. Currently I was also wondering where people invest in crypto and what their reasons and motivations are... some friends and colleagues of mine are also very interested in crypto, and I already have heard a few times that they prefer low price coins or also coins that are not that 'famous' .... but I think thats different from investor to investor... Personally now I'm also thinking about invest in low price coins, but we will see.... looking forward to read more opinions here cheers!

Investing is a way of earning money in this crypto business industry. But investing is not as simple as we think it of, it is about taking a risk of your money just to earn good profits. For me, I should choose the coins from the first 20 crypto in the coinsmarketcap or in exchanges because they are more profitable in the future.

Hollow friend, firstly, it depends on your financial status and secondly, the plans you have for your crypto venture.
Now, considering you financial ability is veryimportant  because you can actually buy potential altcoins or bitcoin already on various exchanges, or you can invest directly on good ICOs out there.
Again, your plans on investment is also very important, looking at long term investment or short term HOLD need to be considered. I think you can start investing today after carefully analyzing this factors, and there very many coin out there you can pick. Bitcoin, Litecoin,  Monero, Ethereum, Dash, IOST, Docademic (MTC), Kickcoin, Tron, etc are all good to pick. Thanks
