Well bitcoin ain't going to anywhere for community members to make speculations that ethereum is going to be the next in  command. Bitcoin rules all cryptocurrency

So bitcoin will stand still in crypto as the most high coin in the market. That would be the fact now and could be in the future too.

It is possible for etherium to become same as bitcoin but not exactly because every crypto currencies has its unique differences, yet only i think in crypto value or price. But that would take a long time and process to stand like a bitcoin.  For the past few years etherium has contious highest price in the market  and if that would continue ahead then etherium would be the next bitcoin eventually.

This year will be possible if Ethereum price become more stable on every market dip but instead like Bitcoin it crashes too. Therefore it will be impossible for this coin to become the next Bitcoin but if as secondary to Bitcoin then no other Altcoins can replace the 2nd ranked position.
