I salute you admin. Thank you for handling this community in a brilliant and fair way.  This will be our assurance and reminders as well so all of us will be a responsible member.

The Thank / Punish links under each profile avatar are responsible for the karma.

Karma is to be granted to people providing good answers and interesting questions.
Active members have the ability to thank and punish users *don't abuse it!

Update:

• Positive Karma will grant bonus from time to time
• Negative Karma will remove an amount of points from the user's score.
• The negative karma score goes up by a factor of4:
  • 1 negative karma: - 100 points
  • 2 negative karma: - 400 points
  • 3 negative karma: - 1600 points

If you have negative Karma, you can appeal it:

The Paid group: Immortals is not influenced by negative Karma.



When you will get Negative Karma:

1. Posting in wrong section.
2. Being aggressive, or impolite without any reason.
3. Trying to spam your referral link or your website.

Are there rules other than those 3 negative karma rules above?

Only moderator can give karma it depend moderator if our post are good  or not other comment not all  moderator  always online i hope i can get 1 karma  here but thank for info it help me alot about but little confusing about system

you aren't right. Not only moderator can give karma. Karma can give user with rank Full Member and higher.

Mnixxo, I think you got this wrong here. I am a full member and I cant see a way to give karma. I think its senior member and above.

Not quite, it's not about liking/disling. Positive karma is thanking something for providing value to forum with quality content, negative karma is punishing someone for spamming the forum with low-quality comments. Think of it more as quality control.

You need to be a Senior Member to be able to use karma feature. You see karma now but you would be able to issue negative and positive karma when you will be a Senior Member.

Thank you admin for such an informative topic regarding karma.

I wonder about the given karma in my profile. I always think about it everyday. May I suggest please let us know the particular massage that was given a positive or negative karma. I know Sr. Member and above have the ability to give karma points and maybe to access the link of given karma in the profile. As below sr. member may we click the button on the karma that was given to us?  Please correct me if there's something to improve, I humbly appreciates your guidance.

I think he is asking to add a feature so that we could know which post of ours lead to the +/- karma. Just like the merit system in BTT where you can see the merits granted at the top of the post.


@Master107, Not knowing which post got you a positive karma is a good thing. Because the forum doesn't want its members to spend their time trying to repeat the same thing in order to gain more karma. Just post good stuff around the forum and you'll earn karma.

I hope when you are given a negative karma, you'll be warned for it. Not sure though. But if there isn't a feature to warn the members about negative karma, then I think the admin should add the feature. Because we all want to know what we did wrong.  But hey, you can always appeal before the Forum Court.
