Will bitcoin cross 20k this year?

As we can see 2018 is not a good year for bitcoin as well as other token also some are saying that this year bitcoin will never cross 20k on the other hand some are saying that it will cross but what you think about it ?

I think it is unlikely that Bitcoin will get back above $20,000 this year, simply because of the ongoing lack of confidence in the market, but reasonably confident that it will start to move up in that direction over the year. Another year is a lifetime in cryptocurrency and adoption/awareness will have grown by then, so hoping that the inevitable drop next year will not be as drastic. Still glad I got in late last year, even though the price has dropped again, the extra few months of experience have helped a lot. There will be some huge winners this year, but your guess is as good as mine which ones they will be. I am happy to hold my Bitcoin and gradually build up my portfolio in a few other coins.

There's still a posibility that it will cross 20k this year, remember that last year the price is just about 2k by midyear and crossed by 20k by november. This times we can't expect it to rise by 20k but it may by november again. I hope it will.

i think this year Bitcoin will not reach 20K. And there is a clear reason for that. Prices can not go up vertical forever. First of all let understand why it was near 20K in End of 2017. That is because of huge hype and false hopes of prices going up forever. Many of those who wanted quick profits that is November and December bitcoin buyers have burned and lost now. They will not return. Only possible if blockchain in general is gold with great products. Another option is that new investors join the game. Else i would put max on 15K.

A lot of the huge bump bitcoin got back in Q4 of 2017 was due to entry of the public, IIRC several ETFs were even formed and traded back in August/September. Just like with stocks, media outlets With positive news caused a influx on entry. Now we have a lot of negative news, especially with regulation it’s tough to see BTC from trading anything but sideways until we get some good news.
