if not you will have to fullfill the other requirements to rank up

- Post requirement have been reduced, thus now shorter post count in the count post.

Please don't remove this.
If not, then increase post counts of Sr. Members also to maybe 200. Full members to 100.

EDIT: I missed this one

- Post count will be increasing for all ranks, thus you might experience a rank drop if you fall under the new post count requirement.

- Plagiarism and spam will be penalized and can affect your future ranking.

A much needed rule.

how many activities to become a HERO?

As far as I know:
Before: 500 posts to become HERO
Now: 500 activities (and maybe some karma) to become HERO
But I'm not sure what's the difference between post and activity. Maybe it's a little bit similar to forum X.

Registration date: the older your account is, the easier it will be to rank up

7. Legend : how long? ............

Karma : It is required for certain ranks

1. Newbie : 0 karma

By the way, I have an advise to appreciate the old members or existing members.
I think a new regulation or change, should be applied for the future way to reach the ranks. While for the existing members that already reach the current ranks, shouldn't reduce to lower ranks. It is to appreciate them who already become the pioneer on altcoinstalks forum.

Mine is not a question but a word of praise. This is a very good step in the development of this forum. Keep adding more Tobit as you have said. I really like the system but please as I do say, let's not forget the reason why most people are here.
This is altcoinstalk and not bitcointalk so bounty managers can not put pressure on the administrative board of this forum. Please relax and let altcoinstalk be altcoinstalk. We are not any other forum, let that be in mind. If the really want to advertise here, they should follow what is here.

however that will be gradual over a 1-3 month period

the forum is made to interact as a community, unfortunately many only wish to rank up,
thus for now, i will not give further info.
all what i can say is that active and helpful members will have no problem ranking up.

Agree. I hope karma won't play the big role in the ranking system. Merit system was the worst thing BTT did. And I hope we won't do the same mistake here on altcoinstalks. On the other hand, I fully agree with the tíme restriction.

I registered this account on the altcoinstalks forum since August 2018 and until February it was around 7 months.
I also got karma 5 from reporting a lot of SPAM in this forum to you admin.

I have to work again for about 3 months (the longest) from February --- >> March, April, May. For a day I made 2 posts at 3 months = 180 posts

my activity is now around 540 + 180 = 720 activities.

PS : I don't deserve to be a Hero because when I asked:
       - how to make tokens, I can't
       - How to make coins, I can't
       - Because on the basis of it, I can only trade Bitcoin with altcoins at Binance.

Agree. I hope karma won't play the big role in the ranking system. Merit system was the worst thing BTT did. And I hope we won't do the same mistake here on altcoinstalks. On the other hand, I fully agree with the tíme restriction.

I think the main mistake of BTT is that (s)merit is very limited, mainly hoarded by a small number of high ranking individuals, and rarely distributed unless it's as a merit trade, if not simply sold for profit. Fortunately on here there is "nothing to lose" by granting positive karma, as it's not a scare commodity, unlike on BTT where you have "used up" your ability to give merit, due to it's limited/regulated supply which is a deterrent to do so in itself. Therefore, karma is nothing like merit imo.

I agree that karma shouldn't take a main role in ranking up, and that it is better based on activity (rather than posts), but I wouldn't be opposed to users requiring a neutral/+ merit in order to become higher rank, due to the number of Sr Members with bad karma, who have the power to grant karma, which we've already seen as an issue in the case of plagiarism reporting. I'm not saying that they should need +K to rank up to certain levels, but that they need to not have -K.

Anyway, I digress. I hope this addresses the issue of high ranking negative karma members who generally speaking have negative karma for good reason... You're not a Hero to the forum if you're a spammer with -K, and you're certainly not a Legend with -K unless it's as a Legendary Spammer
