On January 5th the price was $1.24 so I expect to see something similar. I don't even think that this is wildly optimistic, we have month and a half to the end of March and I expect that we will see stabilization and return to prices of the beginning of January for most of the crypto currencies. I still believe that this is a marked with bullish tendencies and at the end of the year there will be many currencies which will be with 10x, 20x or even 100x the current price.

The only drawback that I can see with MEW are the phishing sites. So the solution is to bookmark the site and to only use the bookmark when you open the wallet. And lets not forget that if you only want to view the balance of the wallet you can always use etherscan.
Speaking of security - I will never use a desktop wallet. You just never know what are you installing on your pc/laptop. If I were looking to get the info of some users. I will make legitimate desktop wallet which collect the info and then send it by email or upload it to some random site.

The big flaw of metamask is that you can't send tokens with it. So even if you use it, you have to have MEW acc which to import in metamask so you can use MEW to transfer the tokens.

At last my transaction arrived. I had pending transaction from 14.01, so only 28 days for transaction. Let this be a lesson to anyone using mercatox. When you want to withdraw money, do it with eth, at least to this moment i haven't had a problem with eth withdrawals but tokens take forever.

pp. if anyone have recommendations for exchange with obscure tokens or tokens at the moment are not listed at the big exchanges, please write me here.
pp1. I don't use ether delta but aybe i should look into that

I like tangle like a concept but at least at the moment it have serious drawbacks and one of these is the central server. In that sense IOTA is not truly decentralized. It is true that the devs have told that there will be true decentralization in the future but before they achieve this, there will always be a cloud over the project and I would not expect a huge price rise of the coin before that.

The simple answer is money. It just cost too much money to build and maintain blockchain and even big companies like Kik are looking to use existing blockchain like eth (they will migrate to stellar). Tron(trx) is another project with big financial backing which is using the eth network at the moment. Maybe in the future they will build their own blockchain or they will migrate to some of the new faster blockchains but in the beginning it just make too much sense to begin with erc20 token.

They are nothing alike unless you mean, next bitcoin, in the form of market capitalization. Then I can see eth going above bitcoin but if you ask me, this will be because of combination between drop in the price of bitcoin and increase in the price of eth.

I will recommend making account, using some of the test nets of ethereum (like ropsten). You can do that in MEW or with metamask. You can get 2-3 ETHt from faucet and just transfer them between accounts to get used to process.
