Things like this have happened many times. The stronger team entered the match too arrogantly, euphoria was created that they would humiliate the opponent and they believed in such hype. Then it happens that the outsider consolidates and plays perfectly. It shouldn't even be a big surprise if the underdog is Man. United.
They Man. U have had too many similar upheavals in history for this much underestimation to be justified. I'm glad that all half-educated analysts can now just eat their words.

Same thing happened to Bayer this week, too much expectations and they delivered one of the worse game this season to an underdog Atalanta. All analysis and hyping, being bookies favorites and all that didn't result to anything.

I didn't expect Manuted to even score a goal. Expected more from this City team.

The sacking is an internal matter not related to performance.
I kind of agree with you because I just looked again at the headline, and it said Pochettino left Chelsea out of mutual agreement, But you cannot say it is not related to performance because if Pochettino had really performed beyond expectations and Chelsea had recorded a better performance this season better than what they have now, the owner of Chelsea would not want to let him go.

Not performance, he questioned the club model and also talked against the club recruitment process and all negative things in his last interview. The same attitude that got Conte  sacked at Tottaham, coming out to speak ill of your employer never ends well.

If there is going to be any match that was to make me lose my ticket today, it shouldn't have been Manchester City. This match loos bribe and no passion at all. I don't think this is what 90% of people agreed to see today and when I decided to use the weekend to bet and enjoy the show, they came back with disappointment.

I thought the same thing for a second, but on a more realistic level, I don't think City would ever sell a league cup final to their city rival. It was the worst game I've seen them play this season, with little emotion and being outplayed by a bad Manchester United team. After winning the league title, the players were absolutely exhausted from the long party. I also lost a significant amount of money with them.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Telegram wallet NGN P2P platform

Bold for you to think the Government will not go after the telegram M.A in-app p2p except it's kept hidden and the trade volume is extremely low. It's still a Centralized exchange and telegram can easily take it down. The wallet is not affiliated to telegram, it's a third party app.
Exactly, this was the same thought that came into my mind as I was reading the replies. Government are sick and so mean that they can also go for the telegram p2p to get it down, but before they will know, we go don enjoy am small, so that as we dey enjoy am, another p2p trade fit come out again from one place. God pass government.

The exchanges are doing their best not to give up so quickly; yet, they are also aggravating the government and delaying the process. If they made things any easier for them, they'd come back tomorrow and demand something different. It has been over three weeks since OKX Naira p2p was blocked, and the same message was issued to Bybit, but they have yet to disable their marketplace. Nobody wants to lose Nigeria's trade volume. These exchanges are not happy with the whole situation as well.

Experience, skill as well as luck all are are important in gambling. Sometimes experience or skill is useful and sometimes luck is needed but if a gambler does not give mental support i.e. he is gambling but his mind is elsewhere or he is gambling but he does not have much interest there. I have mainly emphasized here the situations where one has to provide mental support in addition to all those things. Otherwise he cannot be satisfied there even if he gets a gambling win. Moreover, he will not find the joy in gambling.

Experience and skill depends on the nature of the game. In sports betting, experience cannot help you because every fixture is independent of the games played in the past. This accounts for the reason old gamblers can not boost that they are having more winnings than the newbies. I have been in gambling for long but someone I introduced in gambling has recorder greater wins than myself.

So, sports betting specifically has nothing to do with experience. Experience will only help you control your stake but will not guarantee you winning. At last, the lucky ones are winning. Though, luck is important but I always advise sports bettors to consider team motivation, h2h record, injury, home advantage and then make few selections to have better advantage of winning.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling for All?
« on: May 25, 2024, 10:53:10 AM »
It is true that we do have full right over our own activities, engagements and lots more. As it is, gambling is something fun to do which is why most gamblers always gamble often but however, excesses is very bad and that is what we should be able to control because when we do something excessively, it turns out to be addiction which means we are addicted to that particular thing we do irrespective of what we stand to loose as a result of our addiction or excessive engagement of it.

Having full control over our activities doesn't mean we should exhibit lifestyle that would affect individuals around us or even the society. It is believed that a person of 18years can shoulder a lot of things including gambling related crisis. But then, I am of the opinion that individual who have displayed irrational character in course of gambling should be placed on ban to deter others from acting alike. If possible, persons with high blood pressure should be prevented from gambling because gambling can cause emotional disorder and that can be a double jeopardy for persons with trace of high blood pressure.

For instance as a gambler, it is good we plan our gambling routine so as not to be carried away by it. Doing such would put us up in the right track or budgeting for our gambling routine which makes it more conducive and convenient for us. This alone would put us in the check so we do not gamble excess.

I agree gambling with a plan is important in the life of every gambler regardless of why you gambling. When we set budget, we don't loss more than required in a particular gambling section and also we don't throw away our winnings by continuous gambling. Which ever ways, setting a budget is indispensable as a gambler with discipline.

Gambling discussion / Re: What inspired you to gamble?
« on: May 25, 2024, 10:12:31 AM »
Gambling is a fun. It is a sort of entertainment and a good way to pass your free time. I enjoy gambling in my free time. By the way didn't get inspired by anything. Just watched a few online ads and started gambling.

We are bound to lose some money if our mindset on gambling is just for fun because we are going to lose focus on what we are doing, i mean if you are gambling, we should be attentive on it so that we have the chance on winning, just my thought.
It's true that we have to make an effort to try to win at gambling, but we have to know that not everyone can make a lot of money at gambling, losing money is common. If we have a chance to win then try, we will never know as long as we never trying to place a bet.
Rightly said.
The chances of losing in gambling is way higher than that of winning, and this is the more reason people shouldn't be more focused on winning because this is what often causes people to start chasing after winnings and losses and then leads to addiction.
People should always realise that the odds are always against the players and I'm favour of the house so expecting to win all the time would only lead to more disaster.

If a gambler doesn't focus on winning, then he should focus on what? An undeniable fact about gambling is that all gambler wants to win but what makes the difference is the desperation or length a gambler can go to record a win. Playing to win is not wrong. Afterall, that's the reason we gamble.

Whether you gamble for fun or making money, there is an excitement which comes from winning. In fact, a person who gambles for fun will have more happiness when he is winning because by nature we all want to win. So, regardless of the reason we gamble there should be a time and financial limitation to prevent against chasing loss. This is more effective than trying  to tell gamblers not to focus on winning.

Gambling discussion / Re: should gambling be completely banned?
« on: May 25, 2024, 10:01:07 AM »
Very well said, people are the problem. Many do not want to take personal responsibility and instead hope the government will intervene, for example by closing casinos. But the problem is not really theirs.

I agree with your submission. Gambling has no problem or negative connotation in itself. The negativity associated with gambling is as a result of how some people gamble. Most gamblers gamble with greed and some believe that gambling will help them escape poverty. This kind of mindset is the reason people gamble uncontrollably and then run into the web of problem gambling.

If people can gamble moderately without 100% dependance on gambling for earns meet then soonest people will understand that gambling is not a problem but the individual. For instance, can we say car is bad because some persons have accident due to reckless driving? We often preach against reckless driving and not against the purchase of a car. This is similar to gambling.

A gambler should always take gambling seriously. A gambler is safe in his gambling as long as he can take gambling seriously because it is wrong to consider gambling as a simple game.

Well, I don't understand what you mean by taking gambling seriously but I am of the opinion that gamblers shouldn't engage in gambling actively but rather passively to prevent getting addicted. When we are too serious with gambling then it can easily affect us psychologically and mentally which becomes a challenge to leading a normal life.

Gambling whether it is seen as a simple game or not doesn't change it from been a game of luck. In fact, no strategy or philosophy about gambling is 100% which tells us that we can still win even when we see gambling as a simple game and we can lose even when we decide to be serious with gambling. At the end what matters is gambling with an amount you are prepared to lose.

If you have been losing consistently in gambling, then maybe you should take a break if the losses have started affecting your emotions.

Personal experience reveals that taking a break is an effective strategy to guide against irreparable loss and also to protect emotions. Naturally, no gambler is happy when he is having a series of bad run and so becomes distracted and irrational in making decisions since his decisions will be made out of emotions rather than calculation.

When a gambler is in such a state, the best strategy at that moment is to take a pause so that he can be able to think right in his next gambling section. When a gambler refuses to take a break, he will lose more because his mind will be directed towards recouping his loss and in the long run he will lose everything in a bid to regain everything.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right for a lady to gamble ?
« on: May 25, 2024, 04:33:20 AM »
It might interest you to know that most ladies are mentally and psychologically fit than men, and they can easily adapt to situations too.

In as much as I will agree with you, it is necessary to note that been mentally or psychologically fit most times is not considered by gender but measured individually. There are some women who lacks mental and psychological control and there are men who can mentally and psychologically control their emotions when they gamble.

Thus, I am of the opinion that gender shouldn't be a precondition to decide who should gamble but rather individuals should have self appraisal to determine if they can control their emotions when they lose considering that in gambling you will record more lose than winning due to the unpredictable nature of it.

I also don't know whether they underestimated Atalanta or what, but I think Xabi would not be so stupid as to underestimate his opponent, especially since it was a final match which we know is very important for them.

The players got carried away, had a large party after winning the league and were all looking fragile, no disrespect to Xabi but he was tactical outclassed in that game both defensively and offensively, they lost every duels and wasn't tracking back enough. Atalanta deserves that one.

The Nigerian-born striker "Lookman" made Nigeria proud and he has been on the news both internationally and locally. I am hoping that he's going to win the Africa Best Player of the Year, because of his fantastic performance in scoring three beautiful goals that won Atalanta their first-ever Europa League trophy

He is in contention, but keep in mind that this is AFCON year, and his AFCON performance will take precedence over his club performance. Did any AFCON-winning players earn trophies for their clubs? I don't keep up with Ivory Coast players, thus I don't have statistics.

In fact gambling addiction is hard to quit and i have seen him continue to gamble even after winning big money. How do you see it reflected? I think that when i suddenly make big money from gambling, i will stop gambling and start a unique business with that money. Because then i don't want to lose money so i want to keep the money strong and that's why i stop gambling.
If I can get rich from gambling then I will never involve myself in gambling but I will permanently control myself from gambling.  Since I will become a big man from gambling, I will not be involved in gambling but I will create a casino and gambling site and run the company myself.

Have you ever seen someone launch a casino but not gamble? To consider starting a casino business, you must be an avid gambler first. Every competent gambler's goal is to increase the stakes rather than the odds; once you get wealthy, your chances of increasing your stake  and decreasing your odds for a possible winning outcome improve significantly. The day you win your first million is the day you begin going for the second, the next, and so on.

Never heard of anyone quitting gambling after winning a jackpot; why stop when you may still win another one? Only those who have gone broke gambling will eventually stop when there is nothing left.

A coach who will be winning trophies is the sole aim of Chelsea owners, that's why they changed Pochettino to be head of the Chelsea team because, to them, he can't get that(any trophy) for the Chelsea team no matter how long he stays as Chelsea coach.

Someone says to me, that Chelsea management is on the lookout for a coach who will contest for the PL trophy with Pep Guardiola and Arteta, not someone who will battle with below-top positions

If the owners really care about trophies they would have sacked him since September last year when the team had one of the worse run or when he lost the League cup final against random Liverpool kids so it's not really making sense to think he got sacked for not winning. The owners were okay with him, his objective was to make the team compete and to qualify the team to European league football which he accomplished. The sacking is an internal matter not related to performance.

Forum related / Re: Can we add Links in Profile Avatars?
« on: May 23, 2024, 08:28:05 PM »
That would make it kind of like a second signature, no?

I'm not sure what kind of use it would have if your avatar is chosen for you by a signature campaign though. It would be pretty weird to have the avatar of some service and then when you click on it, it takes you to a completely different website.

Anyway, let's wait and see what happens. I don't really care too much about this, but it could be useful to some people.

For self-service and those wearing customised Avatars, you cannot wear Mixtum and include a gambling link or a link to your personal blog. I had no idea something like this existed because we aren't used to clicking avatars on BTT, therefore the chances of anyone clicking it are quite low.

It could be used to for phishing links; keep in mind that high-ranking accounts can also be scam. This is the internet. Do we really need this now? Nah IMO

Nigerian Languages / Re: Telegram wallet NGN P2P platform
« on: May 23, 2024, 06:24:22 PM »
Has anyone used Telegram P2P? I checked it out, but the volume is quite low; there are no Sell ads, only Buy ads, and the entire thing appears sneaky. I'm not urging anyone to attempt it.
Even if I later get to try out the P2P on Telegram, I would not want to be among the first people to use it because I know that the rate of scams will be high. I believe that they will try to improve their services; that is, it will later work properly when people start moving there. And that will only happen when the government has succeeded in blocking all the other exchanges still functioning for exchange to NGN and Telegram becomes one of the few options left.

Bold for you to think the Government will not go after the telegram M.A in-app p2p except it's kept hidden and the trade volume is extremely low. It's still a Centralized exchange and telegram can easily take it down. The wallet is not affiliated to telegram, it's a third party app.
