is $60k the floor rate of bitcoin after halving?
« on: April 17, 2024, 03:05:42 PM »
Does it mean that we are automatically going to witness another serious dip?
Currently the price of bitcoin isn't pleasing anymore and I would want someone to tell me if there's more possibility for the price to drop more dip or maybe it will limits to only 60k.

Naturally I am having this feeling that 60k isn't gonna be the floor rate we might see before bull run start fully.. drop your comments

Your gut feeling can be right as there is now a big chance that another big dip can happen immediately after the halving event...and this is an expectation that many people are holding right now most especially those who might be involved with ETFs and can be the reason why ETF platforms are experiencing net outflows right now. However, we should take this as just another good opportunity to buy more Bitcoin because soon we can see BTC recover and can even go higher than $100K even the year of 2024 ends. That is, this is just my speculation and I don't have any inherent power to make things come true no matter how I wish them to be.

If we see another major dip then that would be the last good opportunity for the ones who want to invest in Bitcoin. Once the halving takes place, and Bitcoin starts rising again then we may not see any dips of similar intensity for so many weeks and months.

I also believe that there is possibility of another huge dip which might bring the price of Bitcoin to $55k or even below that, but after that Bitcoin will continue gaining value again and then we may not see another dip.

You are correct, we might see more dip and however, nobody can tell what would happened next especially now that people already have this feelings that whenever is almost getting to halving there would be strong dip. Don't you think this has caused so much panic among or between investors especially those newbie investors who thinks bitcoin price decreasing can never come up again?  I over had a neighbor saying that bitcoin has dropped so severely that he needs to sell of his little holdings before he would lose them entirely for the halving before bull run starts fully. Within me I was like, you can't lose your bitcoin completely what you only lose is the dollar equivalent and your fraction remains with you and whenever the price gets to it's original place then the value correspond to your holding, actually I could have discussed with him but I just have to mind myself not to engaged in much discussion with anyone.

Look at the weekly range of Bitcoin, it has not yet experience sell pressure, that means that with time we are going to enter the sell off zone and with Bitcoin right now trading around $60k region, we will go even lower than what you have predicted, we will surely visit the range of $50k for the short time before we start the real bull run of Bitcoin after halving.

Let's just hope bad news doesn't come up around Bitcoin else's we might go lower than we anticipated, because it's usually when Bitcoin is in sell off region a lot of bad news does show up.

What i can say is that, from past performances, it's already predicted that before the halving, Bitcoin would experience a DIP, that's how it's always been during the previous Halvings, but just after the halving, Bitcoin would instantly recover and set for a new ATH.

But what I cannot say is how much DIP bitcoin would experience, if 60k would be the floor rate or if it'll go lower, no one actually knows, but what we must do is to expect a DIP to any level so we're not taken  unaware when it comes, or when it goes below our expectations and speculations. In the world of crypto, you expect everything and anything.

Sh!t you predicted right. We're getting down there. if it bounces immediately after halving, I think we are still on the right path of this bull run which they are saying there will be a supercycle. I'm hopeful that we are going to be hitting more than $100k.

Good Lord! Lets just get over this dump.

There is no floor.
There are no guarantees

A war  , a country ban, a world crisis   etc.. some events may force the price down to 50k.

If you look at the current situation with ETFs, it is evident that there have been no significant inflows for a month, which means that the demand has decreased and that this has an impact on the price. It is obvious that those who invested a few months ago are already taking profits, and we can only guess what will happen after the halving.

In fact, halving itself has never had an immediate effect, so we will probably have to wait a few months to see the first effects. All in all, maybe it's not so bad that the market has cooled down a bit, but I don't think that should discourage anyone - this year and next year should be extremely positive for Bitcoin.

In my opinion, the price is more than good, because not so long ago we were only at $15 000+ (end of 2022), but we seem to forget quickly, don't we?

Absolutely
So anyone holding should factor their risk instead, whatever may happened at the cost of holding news being it bad or positive. We just have to hope on something good to happened.
But do we really need to get worried over the price of bitcoin after knowing how its history do move over the years?

I think we need a price chart to make the analysis clearer.

I'm using LPPLS.O1R1 and I believe that the BTC bubble has burst after 20 months. I'm not sure if we'll see a sharp downward correction or just a sideways retesting. In the best case scenario, we can consider $60K to be the bottom of this correction, which is just a retest of the support zone before continuing to grow. In the worst case scenario, we may see BTC retest $40.5K ~ Fibo 0.382. I don't expect this to happen because it's equivalent to a -45% correction for BTC, many ALTS will drop even more!

Re: is $60k the floor rate of bitcoin after halving?
« Reply #11 on: April 17, 2024, 10:31:34 PM »

If we loss this support and don't immediately recover then more downside would be likely and if Bitcoin doesn't create another support then more would be possible. I have a feeling we will experience sell the news after buying the rumor of the halving. With the chart we have to bounce from this region to $73K before we can think of heading higher.
I believe it's unlikely except a big news , we have been spending some weeks now below $73K.This ain't a good sign.

There is no floor.
There are no guarantees

A war  , a country ban, a world crisis   etc.. some events may force the price down to 50k.

We have wishes and feelings, but no more than that..
Absolutely
So anyone holding should factor their risk instead, whatever may happened at the cost of holding news being it bad or positive. We just have to hope on something good to happened.
But do we really need to get worried over the price of bitcoin after knowing how its history do move over the years?
Actually as a HODLer we may likely not worry this but just consider accumulating more especially during the dip.

Though keeping this factor will help us get more but I think its more likely as a dice of either staying $60k and above or below $60k because aside from the war and other world crisis there are still news causing rally like the South Korea and Hong Kong Etf news trending this week but let's just keep watching, what matters is that we know bitcoin may hit $100k before the year ending or next year.

It's a few days remaining before Bitcoin halving. I am sure that the effects of the halving will definitely have a very significant impact on a more significant increase in Bitcoin prices. Although maybe it won't happen very quickly after the halving. However, it may still take several weeks or even months after that. Wasn't that the case before? It will take several months after the halving, then the price of Bitcoin will really rise to bullish levels, right? So, just be patient and don't panic if there is a lot of FUD later.

There's a breakout happening in the support zone recently the price has stayed at around $61k to $62k first retest to downward fail but after a few minutes it retest and it suddenly broke out. The support zone became a resistance zone and now it has retested 2 times but it failed so I guess the price would stay at around this area $61k to $59k let's see tomorrow again if it would break the resistance zone.
