BlackRock is evaluating cryptocurrencies, CEO Fink says   https://www.reuters.com/article/us-blackrock-cryptocurrency/blackrock-is-evaluating-cryptocurrencies-ceo-fink-says-idUSKBN1K61MC Chief Executive Larry Fink on Monday said the world’s largest asset manager has assembled a working group to look at blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, but cautioned he does not see massive investor demand.  Which is a good thing , I would be suprised to see a massive investor demand in crypto now. Only slowpokes and Jeorge Soros considering starting investing in crypto now. It makes sense to invest in ideas, and we don't see that many new ideas in crypto at the moment.  We need a new wave of blockchain revolution, which is just shaping up now.

The new token can be traded on Waves decentralized exchange. DEX reduces a lot of risks: for example, your funds are stored directly in your wallet, so there is no point in hacking DEX, and there is no central administration capable of freezing your account or your trades. Every token built on Waves may be exchanged in pairs with any other Waves token. The Waves team claims that Waves will soon be the fastest Blockchain in the world.

wavesplatform.com website is back online. They had an unpleasant accident with DNS hijacking, fortunately it was resolved fairly quickly. No financial damage to user wallets occurred. Another reminder that current cenralized DNS system needs a major overhaul.

FairPOS algorithm is activated on Waves mainnet. What is that? It's a way to incentivize mining in a fair way, so that each miner earns  exactly the amount proportinal to his stake. It seems to be the basic property of Proof of stake, but historically the actual algorithm had some discrepancy. This is the first step in the update of consensus algorithms on Waves, the next step would be implementation of provably secure POS with economic finality.
