It is better to start with cheaper coins, for example Ethereum, by the way it is more stable and does not jump. With altcoins, everything is more complicated, here you are right.

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.

Bitcoin is good only in times of recession. The mass of altcoins has the potential for rapid growth and this growth can be 100 x or more. It really is!

It’s really hard to predict as which option might go high or which has the highest potential, so this is why better to go for multiple options. I have a certain percentage to the established Cryptos. As per rest, I have some interesting choice and amongst those it’s FYDCoin, it’s a very pleasant Cryptocurrency that deserves a lot more attention that it has at the moment. It’s kind of dark horse thing but with their concept and whole setup, it’s meant to reach higher in months to come. So this for sure one I would like to suggest.

It is true but not all altcoins can be 100 x or more. Unfortunately, most of them just dropped 50 x or more now. I am sure that holding altcoins is very potential but many people doubt it if looking at the current situation on crypto market. We must consider it also, mate.

Now holding new altcoins is very dangerous, because almost all new altcoins will either be scam or simply will die after some time for various reasons, and therefore it is best if you want to hold some altcoins, then only the top ones, such as ethereum or binance coin.

You made this thread on September 22, 2018, I mean many things have changed after this thread was posted. You cannot say it longer since there are potential coins for sure here. You can see that we have IoTeX, Ferrum tokens, and others. Those are good coins, you can try to find out more information about them.

There is still altcoins that worth to buy and hold Like XLM,ADA,BNB,EOS and even ETH if you choose one of it im sure it would be fruitful in the coming months or even years for long term hodlers. dont stop believing im sure it will be paid soon.

Now much depends on the movement of bitcoin.None of the presented coins has sufficient independence...BNB is an exception-not everyone has such support, which can set a trend for a long time moving against the broad market.

Don't judge all altcoins are shits, many developers are competing to show off the benefits of the system they have developed, and whoever is unable to compete the coin will lose and die.
But there are also many developers who make money after the project enters the market, then they sell the rest of the coins they develop which makes the price of the coin dump, then they leave the project.
Be smart choose projects that benefit you!!

there are several altcoins that can be invested apart from bitcoin. give a shot to ethereum, is good for a long term investment. ripple and tron is another altcoin that has sign of steady growth. finally tokcoin token, a new projects wilth a large of mass adoption both digital and reality.
