Title: Is it worth buying low-volume tokens?
Post by: AlexMarvel on September 22, 2018, 11:44:11 PM

if it has gone up very far, the possibility of rising again is very difficult, because most cases, the price that has gone up will go down again, this is one of the market tactics.
if before you go up you buy it is a good decision, and you will get a lot of profit.
so it's better to avoid coins that were originally cheap, then become very expensive.

If you see the prospect in this coin, it certainly stands, because it is possible that it will achieve great results and the price will rise seriously!

Buying tokens at low prices can be very profitable but can also be risky. If this newly launched token has a good performance and the team tries to develop the token technology, I think that token will provide benefits. But it can also be the opposite so that it makes a loss to the holder.

Buying low volume tokens are very risky. However if you want to buy tokens with very low volumes, you should check them out.But coins with low volume if the coins go up,you can get a lot of profits. So you must be able to ensure that the coins you buy have very good quality.

Low volume coins/tokens are usually very easy to pump and dump so you should be really careful when doing that and never by low volume coins/tokens at the top because 100% they will be dump badly in short while, of course, there is an exception for every rule which is real project tokens that have low volume due to bad marketing but still I wouldn't buy that on top.

~snip~Often someone buys up all the proposed tokens with a small amount of trading (for example, look at SMT on hitbtc this night), and after a few days these tokens go up in price very much.

Sometimes if we are lucky the tokens like SMT can make money shortly. But you don't apply this with other tokens, I am doubt you can get good profits also. Basically, low-volume tokens are very risky to buy.

I does not know how you will choose a coin to invest in but if it is me i will not just buy based on volume but the whole analysis of ICO of the coin and not just the volume alone.

I am not in favor of that as in bear trend, you will trap as no one will buy low volume coins  and you cannot sell your coins at any level. Always go with top coins which have highest liquidity and volume in any market conditions.

I think that these coins are created for price manipulation. This has both advantages and disadvantages. If the time to buy them and not miss the moment when their price is at peak you can get more profit. But you need to understand that their cost can very quickly be replaced by falling. In this case, you will lose your investment. So trading coins with small volumes you are doing at your own risk.

I will say it all depends on the type of token you want to buy, there are some tokens that are worth buying because they have no real value.

I prefer low cap coins like repme, they do better in the long run.

I am not sure it is a good way to buy low-volume tokens in current condition of bear market. I am afraid the tokens with low volume can lead to dead coins if the teams behind the project cannot do right time in developing the tokens. I think it is better buying high volume tokens.

If we can predict very well when the team will pump the tokens, then buying low volume token like SMT may be worth. But most of tokens are dumped after listing on exchanges. It depends on the teams/developers. If we are lucky to have the teams that pump the tokens faster after listing, it will be very worth.

You can see what coins you want to buy.
all traders have the choice to buy coins when they want it.
I still believe if the price of a coin rises there will definitely be a dump and you can choose coins with the experience you have

It can be worth. Many tokens with low-volume can rise the prices very significant in short time. But I think it is all about pump and dump by the teams. If you plan to buy the low-volume tokens, ensure it has good team behind the project.
Title: Re: Is it worth buying low-volume tokens?

I think it's really a BAD idea to buy low-volume tokens because:
1) risk is higher compared to high volume tokens
2) bid-ask spread is bigger and there is also risk that token will be unlisted from exchange (see what's happening to many tokens in Bittrex).

Punching without objects is ideally a game of imagination that possible every thrown pounced is for the actual game. Buying tokens in  high volume can lead you into devastating feelings that possible you cannot contain if you win and you cannot handle if you lose. It is much better to plan everything that you wanted to do for your investment now and in the future.

The market isn't stable, but the project legitimacy is the main factor of consideration as well as community participation. It might be that that's the end of the project and you unknownly purchase all the token and become a waste

Everyone have their reasons for buying certain coins, what i think is that just by deciding the volume to invest in a coin is a very risky thing to do. We can see a lot of high volume coins in the market but not all of them have good ending.

Coins that easily goes up with a low price when listed, such coins suffer a lot, because when it goes up, holders with large quantity will dump, and at that time it will go very low, and will be struggling to stand up again.
Coins of such are coins for day traders, where you jump in and out at almost same time.

Title: Re: Is it worth buying low-volume tokens?

in the event that it has gone up extremely far, the likelihood of rising again is exceptionally troublesome, in light of the fact that most cases, the value that has gone up will go down once more, this is one of the market strategies.

on the off chance that before you go up you get it is a decent choice, and you will get a great deal of benefit.

so it's smarter to keep away from coins that were initially modest, at that point turn out to be over the top expensive.

I think it is okay to buy low-volume coins as long as you think that it can be profitable in the long run. It is quite risky for us to buy these tokens, but who knows what these tokens can bring in the future. We just have to be careful in choosing which tokens or coins to buy. Do a lot of reading about them and then you decide.

In my opinion, it is not bad to buy low volume tokens. It all depends on the buyer if he believes that the token will be priced high in the future and if the buyer has a lot of patience to hold these tokens. There is nothing wrong with buying these tokens, but I think it is better to do a lot of research about these tokens first and see if it has a good project that could work out in the future before deciding to buy them.

Low trading volume = low interest of investors and traders, so think about it if you need such projects.

Small volumes are an indirect sign of undervaluation. Among such projects, you can find those that will go to the moon following the next bullish trend. For example, DEEX. Now the volumes are small, but the team is working hard and has already achieved significant results. But they were not noticed, so now these tokens cost about 2 cents.

I believe it would be quite risky to choose low volume coins because there will be high probability of no volume too in such coins on the other hand I believe it would be much better if you choose low supply coins instead of low volume coins. The coin SMT you are talking about might rise because of pumping but you should check whether SMT has potential to rise again or not then decide whether to buy or not.

I believe so! If you are looking for a short term trading with a instant profit you should look for this kind of coins usually the newly listed token has this kind of movement. It's not stable so it fluctuate moat of the time. Some trader are looking this coin to earn in a short period of time.they are taking advantage of the volatility into their favor.

Maybe, if you know exactly it's team/company/project has clear and good plan for developing in future. All ICOs now ask for smaller hardcap, just $3-5M, not $30-50M as in 2017, so they have low volume.

Certainly not just any small volume coin that you can buy. You might lose all your assets if the coins are delisting. Keep buying coins with a small volume must have a lot of reading because the surge in the price of small volume coins is usually influenced by fundamental analysts.

The issue is there are many problems with buying low volume tokens.
The major problem is the lack of market liquidity and trading volume.
If you buy a large number of tokens you might end up without buyers
It happens to me when I bought NOAH, and Dentacoin both on HitBTC.
Just stay away from buying low volume trading tokens they are hard to sell sometimes.

There are a lot of rickshaws with low volume tokens.  The project may fail at any time.  So you should never buy a low-volume token, as this will put you on top of a much larger type of rickshaw.

I noticed this phenomenon. Often someone buys up all the proposed tokens with a small amount of trading (for example, look at SMT on hitbtc this night), and after a few days these tokens go up in price very much. Is it worth buying such a token?
Small volume token some times make good profits. I think buying low-volume tokens not bad.

Etherium was much cheaper a few days ago.  Then those of us who bought it should have bought it.  If I had bought it, I would have made a lot of profit today.

In fact, all the coins that are very good are tokens, but they have a lot of trading volume. However, it is much better not to buy tokens with a small trading volume.

@AlexMarvel Always keep in mind that low volume tokens can reach 0 in a matter of seconds due to some pump and dump perpetrated by one or more users who are looking for precisely that, that you have FOMO and buy.

Maybe the low volume is the period of time where no one yet notice the potential of a coin and after some promotion and partnership is done the market of this altcoin is moving. But of course you also have to check the birth of it because some of the coins who have low volume and have been in the market for years is hard to rely on.

It seems to me that in order to get profit from good tokens, you must buy tokens of low value in case of buying tokens.  So when buying tokens, it is better to buy tokens of low value.

Less Valean Tokens are more likely to be sucases all the time. Because their  supply is very low. People sell those tokens and sells.

the topic is old but i would love to give my opinion ,
for me i think buying those low volume altcoins is not worth it because they are already low trading volume which means if you bought them in a higher price you wont be able to fine someone to sell him those altcoins , and this will cost you a lose.

In case of buying tokens if you are buying tokens in low volume then there is a possibility to profit through it. But low volume tokens tend to be very risky. It appears that you bought the tokens without doing a proper research about them. As a result, you may suffer financially. If you want to buy these tokens then I would say do a good research and wait for the right time to buy the tokens.

I think this is very risky. However, coins or tokens with a low cap can benefit you quite significantly, but on the other hand, this is actually very risky. This is suitable for trading, but not for investment and holding. because maybe they might not survive in the market and disappear after listing or before listing. So be careful if you invest in a new project with very sweet and extraordinary promises.

It is better not to buy tokens which have low volume. Volume means buying and selling ie which coin is being bought by more people and which coin is being bought and sold by less people but it depends on the volume of that coin. If you want to trade by buying such coins in low volume, it will be seen that the market will not rise much due to the low buying and selling of those coins, so if ever there is a big dumping of that market, it will be very difficult to recover that dumping. Since there are high volume coins in the market, we must rely on those coins to trade so that even if there is a big dumping in the market, the market will recover again in some time.

I think it's better to buy token in a low price of volume. Why? You can still generate profit from it. Our only concern is that technically, we cannot sell it to market because it is not that big in the market. However, if we just know how to use it right and know when to trade it in exchange of a better token then it is good to risk sometimes.

I don't understand what you mean. It doesn't make any sense to buy a coin or a token that isn't listed anywhere because the chances are it might not even get listed at all. What would you do then? There can't be any way for you to use the coins you have bought if it isn't listed in an exchange. So one should buy coins and tokens that are either already listed or are about to get listed somewhere.

Besides, I'm not into cryptocurrencies with low volume because volume is something that indicates how much interest investors have in that cryptocurrency, and we know that the price of a cryptocurrency increases only if there is high demand for it in the market.
