I read a savings money book meant for general public, and they gave examples where people replaced coffee with homemade cofee, and it would turn into a thousand dollars saved (some cofees are like 6 bucks).  Biking through the summer period to work can save on gas, most people make a lot of money, it's just it all gets spent.  Using all those little savings and throwing it into crypto for years to come is not a bad idea.

It is true that there is possible earnings if we choose the top 10 Altcoins because they are already proven have the potential to make our money grow but we should not ignore the opportunity to earn 10X of our capital if we choose the cheapest altcoins for now in which they are very active of promoting their projects that when the time of Bullish will start then the up to 10X profits will be possible like XPAT, DTRC, DOCK and CAPP.

I wouldn't advise investing in crypto as a saving money strategy, it is still a very high risk investment. As the OP mentioned, the top ten are in a lower risk category, but still high compared to investing in something like property or bonds. I'm investing in crypto for bigger gains down the line, but understand the risks associated with that. If I lose everything I've invested, I can still fall back on other income. This is fun for me, I like risk, but only with money I can afford to lose (and maybe a little bit more).

I choose the first twenty coins in the coinmarketcap as my investment because I believe that this coin can increase higher in the future. Although I don't know when it increases, I still buy the coin especially if the coin is down at any price. I see that in the future, my investment coin can grow and will give a big profit for me.
