Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Paper Money vs. Digital Currency

The idea that much of today’s cash use will shift to digital tokens is no outlandish. Sure, governments will borrow some elements of the distributed ledger technology behind private cryptocurrencies, but they will very much want to retain control of what circulates as money in their economies.

Centralized exchanges rely on a private infrastructure to match supply and demand. In contrast, decentralized exchanges (DEXs) bring buyers and sellers together. Anyone can access them and trade without intermediaries. That's why I prefer (DEXs).

Its value of BTC derived entirely from the continued faith that people who own Bitcoin have in its future. With the sometimes fanatical devotion of its followers, its mysterious creator, its rituals and its holidays, Bitcoin looks a lot like a religion.

The London update is the name for a set of upgrades which are due to go live on the Ethereum blockchain at the start of August. The update features five individual upgrades, each known as an Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP). Together these EIPs will make Ethereum cheaper to use and reduce the supply of ETH, while simultaneously increasing demand.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: We Are Going Down...and Down!

Crypto coins may experience ups and downs in prices, as they are not governed by any central authority and because they are not official state money. Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies that are often expressed in dollars. Thanks to these dollar-indexed coins, you have the opportunity to maximize your chances of protection from market fluctuations or risks.

China’s version of a digital currency is controlled by its central bank, which will issue the new electronic money. It is expected to give China’s government vast new tools to monitor both its economy and its people. The digital yuan will negate one of bitcoin’s major draws: anonymity for the user.

Ethereum's price largely follows bitcoin's halving cycles, although that relationship may begin to decouple as time goes on. Ethereum could be worth $5,000 by the end of 2021 or more.
