new coins will always be there all the time, technology and ideas from developers will make new crypto coins always chosen by investors, but some investors are also happy with old coins even though these coins do not have as good technology as the current DeFi project.
We can see Doge with the 7th largest crypto market cap and a new coin that can compete is Shiba Inu, this situation looks good because the more new coins there are, the more options there will be to profit by analyzing the project before investing

Seriously from the little experience am having must of the coins at are entering the market now are scam coins seriously I won't advise anybody to invest in any new projects I believe there are projects that have been in market for long time which you can invest in and still make your profit.

Every investment have risk, but for new crypto is more risky.
So, If you find good new coin, You think It will more valuable and will have good progress, You can invest on it.

Risky or not, It depends on what coin do you will buy ..
I think potential new coins are also good for investment.
I personally believe in several new coins such as wducx, beyond protocol and LUT.
