I live in Morocco and the government has banned Bitcoin and all crypto currencies.
I think they're afraid because they can't control the financial flows, and they don't understand this technology, maybe in a while the governments will create their own crypto and try to impose it on us.

Theres lots of reasons to fear bitcoin in the form of control... globalized money systems go against everything banks and governments try to avoid to maintain the money stream as close to them as possible.... but too bad.. people shouldn't have filtered access to things they own.. and the government shouldn't have a right to print more at random to deflate its value as a form of stealing.

I live in France and the big reason (and stupid reason) is illegal investments that BITCOIN can make.
It's really hypocritical because FIAT make the same in worst way !
And because of this, medias made a terror atmosphere about bitcoin.  ::)
I don't know if the others country have the same tells ?

Many countries think that bitcoin is illegal because they thought it was a scam and they were afraid to try it as well as to people who were so scary and they did not want to repeat them. And with the government they say that bitcoin is illegal because they can not control it and they can not get tax from bitcoin because they do not have the transaction

The fact that government viewed bitcoin as nothing good in it except digital currency. Some government just wants to take care the culture and beliefs system of their own legacy. They didn't want to go out side the boundary they choose not to take the opportunity that can be an answer for economic growth.

Even in our country If I say something openly about Bitcoin then Police will catch me! WTF! What do you think about it?

I think that is outrageous because the people cannot express their rights for technological progress.

if in my country please trade cryptocurrency but the risk is borne by myself.

why bitcoin is considered illegal by the government is because bitcoin is made by individuals, not a state institution, like a bank. not only in Indonesia, bitcoin is prohibited from being used by some countries to conduct transactions. for me, honestly I don't care about the ban. because my focus is to make bitcoin an investment for profit.

I think in some countries it has accepted the existence of bitcoin, while in my country I have not received it, but that does not mean that people don't have it, because they use it only as assets and investment, not as a currency ..

They might look at it as gambling, illegal store of wealth.  Most of those countries probably don't allow locals to gamble or have tight gambling laws only allowing high taxed land casinos.  But if one day all these countries say, okay, lets just tax any gains when people put money into their bank account, similar to the way it is here, than the price of crypto will go really high.
