Can bitcoin survive without altcoins?

bitcoin can indeed survive without altcoins, but altcoin can also survive without bitcoin but is not completely small.
if bitcoin can survive without altcoins, it is caused because bitcoin has always been without altcoin as far as I know .

Bitcoin is in a world of its own and will continue to be the catalyst for the growth of altcoins. Should altcoins die off, BTC will still survive IMHO even though it will see a lot apathy like we're experiencing with the bear market condition.

Amazon viewpoint, that I think it can't, because bitcoin is so rare and too expensive that no one wants to buy products with BTC really, but altcoins can do it, and the altcoins let bitcoin world be colorful.

I think the life of the altcoin depends on the price of bitcoin, because
as long as there are many bitcoin users and growing, bitcoin will continue to survive but, so I think the life of the altcoin depends on the price of bitcoin.

Of course Bitcoin will exist without altcoins.  It has happened,  before there is altcoins.  Bitcoin is the first of crypto currency

I am sure and you certainly know that bitcoin can still survive even without an altcoin. Because bitcoin is a payment tool that can be used for various purposes. And if there are no altcoins, then the price might be more expensive now. Because it will dominate the market alone without competition.

I am a little agree with you. I am doubt bitcoin can survive for many years if there are no supports from altcoins. The number of bitcoin is not enough for all people around the world, it should need other things as the alternative coins.

Yes of course , bitcoin will survive without other altcoins because it was the creation of bitcoin that brought about the creation of other altcoins.
So technically, bitcoin is their boss and so can stand alone without them.

Bitcoin has been there without altcoin and will survive without them. Your question is way out of the content.  When did altcoin come in place?
