Dogecoin is an altcoin that was designed to appeal to a broader demographic than Bitcoin. Initially, it was intended to have a fresh and fun feel that would distance it from the controversies of Bitcoin’s past. As of September 2017, it broke into the market’s top 10, with several of the online exchanges offering DOGE/LTC (LiteCoin) and DOGE/BTC (Bitcoin).

Dogecoin was originally a shitcoin that was meant to parody BTC and just be a complete joke coin in general. I have no idea why it caught on to exchanges and things like that but, probably because it's been around for a long time.

It kind of makes a mockery of cryptocurrency basing itself on the fact that anything people will buy to make profit, is obviously worth something.. and there it stands.. a joke turned community coin that people accumulate to hope to flip when the joke comes full fruition... (and often times does).

I like dogecoin. Thought it has less progress, I support it. I have seen in many systems that they are accepting dogecoin. So, as much as it's will increase the value will also increase.

it is true that dogecoin has a wider demographic, and this is great in long-term use or for the future of dogecoin, and is great for investing.

Dogecoin is mostly used for tipping posts, but it can be used for general purchases. Dogecoin has had a huge soar in value recently, but I doubt much of the community sees it mainly as an investment coin.
For me it is a spending coin. It is much quicker than the more well known BTC because of more rapid block times, and the current capacity issues of BTC.
Dogecoin, with its very friendly community and relatively high inflation rate, serves as a good entryway into cryptocurrencies, and allows for some experimentation without spending your life savings to figure out how things work.

Dogecoin is shit coin, I don't expect about the price achievment.
Peoples shouldn't invest on doge for longtime profit, just use doge to arbit or move the cryptoasset to another exchanger to reduce exchanger fee.

Yeah. To move your cryptoasset to another exchange, dogecoin is one of the best in terms of exchange fees. I have to also admit that it will be real decentralize coin. I respect these characteritics of dogecoin. But as Faulidin expressed well for long term u wont get money from this coin.
