@dkbit98 this FCMP++ thing, the executive summary is that it increases the number of inputs and outputs inside a transaction? That's what it sounds like to me (I didn't check links).
Yes, it increases privacy for Monero a lot, but it is also more resistant to attacks like it was happening with ring signatures.
I am not expert in Monero coding, but they are saying transaction will also be much more efficient.
Another change is possible layer-two solutions for Monero with payment channel protocols.

Many have replied in this thread that Monero is a safe and good privacy coin, but what does privacy mean? Isn't every cryptocurrency private? So it can't be seen by others, only those who have the private key can access the coin. Or what is the simple difference between Privacy coins?

As a matter of facts, Monero being a privacy means that it's transactions are untraceable from one user to another. Monero coin sent from different wallets, for instance, the records of these transactions can't be traced to the receiver. Most people like doing business transactions in private, and this is one of the reasons the privacy coins like Monero, Zcash, Dash came on board the crypto space.
As may you know, these privacy coins are no longer popular as it was in the last 6 years is because most governments of the world hated private transactions, and they are clamping down on them especially in the US. France, UK etc.

At the moment, I think XMR is the best privacy coin, because ISIS decided to use it instead of BTC.
Someone said: BULLtime of XMR is coming :)
So far from my experience in the crypto space I'll say the most popular privacy coin I'm fully aware of is monero.  Monero has quite a nice number of adopters as well as a nice price (value) too. Anyways I noticed that it can be somewhat a little difficult to get especially on centralised exchanges . Infact many of them have monero on their black lists. With that being said I think so far Talking about a coin with a very high level of privacy compared to many others,I think monero wins it.

However I wouldn't call bitcoin a private network that much in that bitcoin is a very transparent network and it's a little easier to track down coins on the network compared to monero. Bitcoin wins decentralisation but I guess monero actually wins privacy.

But unlike Monero, Zcash privacy feature is optional where only few people use shielded address. Meanwhile, Dash privacy is only as good as using CoinJoin on Bitcoin network. Dash team/developer also trying to claim their coin isn't private when exchange begin to delist privacy coins.

Only a small percentage of people are actually using shielded addresses, and there are other things that makes me not trust Zcash.
If this same technology was introduced in Bitcoin maybe we would have better results and more people using it.
There are few other smaller privacy coins like Prate Chain that have improved privacy, but they are mostly centralized and have low volume.
