Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Best coin to invest aside from Bitcoin
« on: December 26, 2018, 02:54:24 PM »
I feel if you're not looking at bitcoin or eth, the next most logical pick would be Stellar.. this token is often paired with Ripple (and rightfully so as being a fork) but this token has better use cases than Ripple with safer quantities of unlockable tokens as far as inflation is concerned.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Market has returned or not?

Today we got our first short squeeze of significance and the weekly candle is looking quite awesome so far... that's really the hard part about trying to predict the bottom is you usually don't realize it until its already passed.

it shouldnt even be debateable really... and why is it even necessary?  Just compromising information that is for the most part meaningless.... oh well hopefully a lot of the phishing and scamming will leave in the bear market as well since a lot of bounty/ico participation has slowed down.

I think the answer is no simply because it would take such a coordinated attack involving so many people with so many parameters you'd have about a 0% chance of pulling it off even for an hour...  I guess anything is possible however it would require a crazy amount of resources.

New events added for this week, payouts decreasing somewhat to help liquidity and token value, this is a great week if you like football and hockey :)

An interesting data. The study just proves what many are saying that cryptocurrency trading is only for the young and that it is dominated my men. This probably suggest that men are less emotional and younger people can handle the stress better.

Or younger people are less conservative and can handle the technology gaps better than people who are older.  I'm actually a bit surprised so many are from the USA.. guess it validates the US government's strong stance on tax evasion in this space.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Many cryptocurrency players have gone bankrupt

Well whatever the bottom works out to be whether thats 2800, 2000, or 1200.. I'll still be here and I hope a lot of others will be too... people went just as broke in 2015 buying the top of bitcoin en masse and watching it slip for almost 2 years down to about the same % losses, it will recover... miners are having to sell into shorts to protect future earnings since they have bills to pay RIGHT NOW, so its undersrtandable, but once a lot of the large scale asic mining operations go dark, the difficulty in mining  will drop, and we'll find our potential bottom with nowhere to go but up.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Do you also call it the end of BTC?

We'll get there eventually, but the bear market surely is going to extend now... I'll say we reach 20k again near the beginning of 2020.. but we need to quit fooling around with this long short game, and just find the V bottom the market is looking for.

This is a fansite google calendar that helps with keeping up doing the events, since at times it can be very overwhelming trying to do them all...

I think we're in that gap between speculation and adoption known as the market chasm... we reached it a year before I thought we would and this market correction cycle has been bad, and with the amount we have fallen expect a bear market of another year or so.. but this is the year for projects that can survive to actually create things.... and hopefully with more regulation and time for the market to lick its wounds, the next market cycle can be much longer with a little bet less hostile volatility.

New Website Design, now much easier to see the flow between joining events, etc.

More events have been added through Sunday making it over 60 new events in the past 7 days, including a new type of event.. Crypto Sentiment Analysis..

They froze my funds for a month last year for absolutely no reason and that was the last day I used their exchange... I do not trust this exchange at all.... and I'm confident that they will eventually pull some sort of exit scam.. stick with the good players in this space.

New Events along with weekly achievements have been posted today!  (These involve a Verity partner 0xGame - which offers fair sports betting which is now undergoing testing - (Verity acts as 0xgame platform's oracle which verifies that the ending scores for the game is verified in a decentralized way to ensure accuracy).

Events will be cancelled today, "We will be halting all 0xgame-related events as per their request. The recent implementation of their master smart contract has revealed a crucial bug. We are unfortunately forced to cancel all existing events, which should hopefully come back with the resolution of the problem on 0xgame's end. Sorry for the inconvenience, I will keep you updated with more information."
