I have not heard in a country that gambling is in their educational curriculum and I don't think that is even good to add. Gambling is not something you advise someone to do e even though the government permits people to gamble in the country. Gambling empty people's accounts so telling people to gamble is not even good but you can only allow it to exist so those who interested can have fun with it and not taking it to the education sector.

Gambling discussion / Re: How did the gambling life Start?
« on: May 16, 2024, 10:18:35 PM »
I am present to gamble for a long time without becoming addicted. So how did your gambling life begin?
I would say I admire that you are into gambling and yet you are not addicted and that means that you are still in control of yourself and have not allowed gambling to be dictating your life, instead you controlled your gambling hobby in the way you want to be. As for me, I am not a big gambling aficionado but here in my country gambling - legal and illegal types.
Not everyone that gamble enter the net of addiction and most of us have self control ability so we escaped from the addictive type. And you want to escape gambling addiction, you don't have to visit the gambling hall every day. And if you gambling for only football then you gamble only when there is an interesting games paired to place in the weekend. And not to visit the center to gamble all the games in the week. That should be a capital NO for the gambler. And if you are interested in any other games like slot, lotto and etc. set a timetable for visit the casino centers and not all the time. These are some of the techniques to overcome addiction. As for me I like to bet on football more. And it was a friend influenced me. And I am not an addicted gambler. I gamble only when I am in the mood. And sometimes once a week..

Is it only Naira p2p most of you uses these exchanges for ? Cause I don't understand why many of you already abandoned Binance only because the Naira trading pairs were removed. What about trading and staking?
The boss I no go lie for you as for me na only that feature I dey use am for. Either I use am buy or sell. I no dey use am do another task. And if I dey trade I dey use trading apps to do the trading and not exchange platforms to trade. I never use am stake before sef. But as cryptocurrency enthusiast I need to use all those features so dat wen we dey tok or when people dey tok, at least one can also contribute something. It is good so I will look into that.

Gambling & Crypto Casinos / Re: STAY AWAY FROM 1XBIT
« on: May 16, 2024, 09:46:33 PM »
In my country, there is no where you will go to that you will not see 1xbet ads. I even thought it is a Nigerian gambling site, but I later knew it is a Russian gambling site. Also most influencers and YouTubers and others are promoting it with their promo code in my country. Is 1xbet also a scam site or only 1xbit? I know that 1xbit does not have good history on Bitcointalk.

1xbet is also a scam casino that ironically looks like it is being used as a front for money laundering (maybe the DOJ should've taken down that instead of Samourai Wallet?). Just go to AskGamblers and look at all the negative topics about it.

It is utterly ridiculous that YouTubers would knowingly promote a scam to their own followers. The only conclusion is that they want to make more money and they don't care how they do it.

Just as CharlesTim has explained, 1xbet is really huge here in Nigeria and well regulated, have their branch offices and are really into heavy promotions. I have an active account which I've used since 2021 with huge balance without any problem. I want to believe it's just a jurisdiction problem, not that 1xbet is generally bad everywhere. All fiat casino are well regulated here in Nigeria.
Exactly as Igebotz said, I have not also heard of anyone was scammed by 1xbet in Nigeria. And there is a branch office or a shop in my street that we normally go and placed our bets and take slip or ticket. And as it was said by others probably it is a regional problem and the policies of the region is not strong enough to deal with gambling companies. Though I have also heard of others countries complaining about 1xbet scam but not in my country yet.

Focus on knowledge, build up belief, then investment plan, success will come.
Exactly but many people would like to invest before learning, and doing all those things you said. According to scholars, knowledge is power, once you acquired the knowledge then you have to build up you empire and start your investment aims and goals from there. Success is not something that's very far from people but the way you present yourself and how you are focus and discipline. Knowing what you doing, focus and plan then patient, endurance and persistent working will make you to hit the jackpot one day.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin price speculation and analysis Thread
« on: May 15, 2024, 10:46:22 PM »
The forum is too big to accommodate.all the speculation threads in one topic instead you would have requested to create speculation board so that other prediction and speculations can fall under that board. If this thread is the one that will stand to predict every prediction discussion then spamming must take and will turn to "World observer" therefore the best way to spread topics let the admin crwate a Speculation Board so that anyone who wants to create topic can create their own topica and those who want to make comments here can do that. That is my suggestion.

Everything has changed so we can't use the previous year halving to determine this aftermath halving again because things started changing before the halving and all the predictions were void and null. No the aftermath prediction is $100k and some investors are still saying that the price will not go up again because this this year the price has hit All Time High twice. But let's see what will happen at the end of the year.

Nigerian Languages / Re: USDT vs Bitcoin
« on: May 15, 2024, 09:53:39 PM »
Usdt is mostly used to secure investment especially when trader are trading and there is market fluctuations like uncalled dip at this point the trader can easily stop trading and secure their funds in exchange using usdt or any stable coin on exchange such dai, usdc and any other currency that serves as stablecoin. I don't they should be compared together because both has no similarities and one is centralized while the other is decentralized currency.
Those who dey always sell coin nai dey use USDT pass. Me I no even remember when last I keep or sell coins in USDT. I like to sell my coin in BTC. Though USDT is good to keep coins as you said because the fluctuating is minimal and not like bitcoin and Ethereum. And the first time when I noticed USDT it was a boy in compound used to buy USDT and sell it within a week. I have bought from him too but I still convert it to bitcoin and sell it.

KuCoin bows to FG pressure, deactivates P2P, delists naira on platform
This what I got today.I really don't too much like Kucoin because the vendors there too dey manipulate their prices. Though  almost all the exchanges do that thing but from weti I see in the exchange e too much. Normally bitcoin now was sold as #83m/ per 1 BTC but those guys would put in their ads wit NGN129m = 1 BTC and if click dem.to sell e no dey go and di ones wey dey go, go negotiate with you to reduce di price again. Though genuine vendors were there but dem been dey the down down. And many people been dey expect say na ByBit dem go delist dis time so this delist of Kucoin na surprised to many.

I don't know if is same telegram bot airdrop but then I can still flashes back on the kind of airdrop I have anticipated then and I could remembered an airdrop than said " for you to withdraw your rewards you need to send about 30 tron" as then which is likely to be around $2. At some point they increased the fee to 40 Tron and so on, I ended up wasting a total of 100 tron without me able to withdraw my reward successfully.
Me I no even know how to farm airdrop even to mind I don't know. A friend told me to mind pie airdrop but I am also not interested because the stress there sef e too big. But we dey di cryptocurrency world man must learn am so one day we go enter market. When Notcoin came out, ah people dey mined am serious and when di announcement came say dem want launched am for exchanges na there the real hustle start but at di end nothing come out and finally it is suspended till 16th of this month. I never mine and farm airdrop before.

but binance already express their intention to negotiate.
For now I don't the area Binance dey because them say Nigerian government must release their staff because it is illegal detention and the same time they saying that they will obey the government policies and negotiate with them to operate. And I don't see any resolution in this matter with Nigerian government. Because the amount Nigerian government fine dem na very big amount and Binance e no dey ready to pay that kind amount in anytime. Though their app dey work well, but their website and the p2p nai no dey work in the country.

This aspect is making people to be impatient on the forum and they can't concentrate on their post to be creative, if you look so well people post out of desperation in order to build up their account so that it would enable them to easily join signature just like that.
Yes, sacrifice is one thing mostly needed but one must learn to be patient and learn to read and be creative while building up their reputation here.
I don discuss with some of the people in this forum wey I know them physically dem say na because campaign e no dey for now nai make dem never come dis side. And DT means many people e no dey come here to discuss anything or to contribute to knowledge but because of campaign. And since campaign e no dey now for dem to post na wahala. As for me to build account here in the forum nai easy pass BTT. Because here na only you posting nai be di konkon and not even your karma. So if you dey post constantly for like three months then your full member or Sr member rank na sure be dat.

What do you say about this?
There are many big hotels, resorts, and even schools owned by politicians and others that do not accept deposits in naira. The government knows about these institutions and should go after them. Those people are contributing to devaluing our currency because it doesn't even make sense for you to accept another currency within the borders of a country.

If the EFCC can enforce this, the value of our naira will improve.
That is very bad for people of a country to use another country currency to run their businesses. It is not good at all. And when I look at the matter I don't blame the individuals that are using or accepting dollar in their businesses because the government started it all. If the government is calling money in the exchange rate it pronounced in dollar which very bad as well when you have your own national currency you called another country currency to have value to that currency and devalue yours.  Really I don't know how true this movement will be personally I like the move because it will drastically reduced dollar and naira will have value but if Tinubu is the president of Nigeria, naira will never appreciate. Naira will not come down to 1k again because Tinubu himself is using dollar for all his doings and not naira. Last election he spent dollar to give to voters and not naira.

Nigerian Languages / EFCC Bans US Dollar Transactions In Nigeria.
« on: May 14, 2024, 08:19:44 AM »
There was a news on social media platforms last week that Nigeria and India have joined BRICS to use their National Currencies to make and international transactions among themselves and  this morning again I saw that EFCC Bans US Dollar Transactions In Nigeria, Orders Embassies To Transact In Naira. This approach might really bring back the Naira back to track but I don't know if really these News are legit. The government instructed all the foreign embassies to use naira and not dollar any and if this is true then this is what they have done from the beginning instead of attacking cryptocurrency exchange platforms. Personally I like this policy if it is true.
