After receiving the first token, users of the myetherwallet have a question why they can be seen in the ethplorer.io or etherscan.io but can not be seen in the wallet. The fact is that every token in myetherwallet needs to be added manually, after receipt. How?
open the myetherwallet, and press "add custom token"

after that we find our address/wallet on the etherscan.io, select the required token, and click on the link of the token itself.

you will see information like this

transfer the selected data to the myetherwallet, and press "Save"

Done! Now you can see your token in your wallet.

Nice work mate. Someone should pin this in my opinion, it's a popular FAQ.

Thank you! I think that there should be 1 FAQ for beginners, in which there will be all useful links for topics, like this one. And already this topic should be pinned.

Also, it is not always good to access this wallet using the json key. There is an option to view the wallet only, this avoids phishing hacks from taking your tokens

If you just want to view your wallet, then you should never use myetherwallet. As referenced in the initial post, this is how to access your tokens on MEW, for example in order to make a transaction. Never use MEW to view your tokens, use etherscan or another block explorer. Stay safe, don't take unnecessary risks!
Not to mention you shouldn't be accessing MEW with private keys, use MetaMask at minimum, ideally a hardware wallet.

Even if you don't add the contract information into myetherwallet you can still find them using etherscan, but you won't be able to send them

I have an etherium wallet, but I do not know how to use it and what to do with it. Is it just necessary to store the currency or you can make other transactions with it? What is the difference between the ethereum wallet from the bitcoin of the wallet? I could not find anything on the forum
