Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Panic selling? Never!
« on: October 08, 2018, 02:22:34 PM »
Sell and lose your profit when market is down - the principle is very fundamental. You only get to enrich the pocket of the investors with much patience who seize the opportunity to buy more valuable coins at cheap prices from the weak hands who panic during bear market times.
The choice is yours, fellow crypto user.

It would still depend on your strategy why you are selling. Some are panic selling because they don't have a trading plan at hand and are afraid that they would lose more and others are just selling because they have given up and would like the cryptocurrency world for good. Nevertheless, if you want to stay here longer then you should always have a trading plan so that whatever happens to the price, you know what to do.

Of course the first cryptocurrency that I ever bought is bitcoin because it is the most famous cryptocurrency. Moreover, many faucets are there for bitcoin but this is around two years ago before the halving and the worth of bitcoin that time is around $300 so it is cheaper compared to the price now. I made a mistake though in investing in cloud mining sites and I became greedy that's why I lost what I bought. It should have been worth a lot nowadays.

I am  looking for a cryptocurrency that ensures a good real world growth. Guys if you know of something please let me know

Take a look for those coins that have been existing for a time and those coins were able to survive the bear market because most probably when the bull market comes, they would still be the coins that will go up. There may be some coins that are so cheap nowadays but then if you are still doubtful about it and the team is not that active and look for another coin. Choose a coin that is already used by people for its actual use case like bitcoin, ethereum and binance coin.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Altcoins vs Tokens
« on: October 02, 2018, 05:04:36 AM »
Recently there are tokens which became profitable for investors not because they have a strong community but the technology they are developing for their project and platform are good and the profitability for investors are well defined in the platform. Do you think ERC20 tokens can stand long term on its own even if they do not develop their own coin / blockchain?

Yes, as long as they continue to develop their project and the people would use the tokens for its actual use case. There are coins that has its own blockchain but still, the demand is not that strong because investors cannot see its future being very good. These tokens may decide to create their own blockchain eventually when the project is doing good but they can still use other blockchain and still be able to do their goals.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Is it good to hold Bitcoin now?
« on: October 01, 2018, 04:09:37 AM »
The HODLing concept works best for Bitcoin, there is no doubts about that. Bitcoin is one of the few coins on the market which takes on new price records on a gradual basis. It does not follow the trend of pump and dump which can happen within some few hours to days. Bitcoin grows gradually and as such buying it at a low price now and holding for a long term will yield a good sum of profit as its bull market approaches.

Holding bitcoin would be the best investment for now when it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies because it is the most famous cryptocurrency, it has the first mover advantage, it is the driver of the crypto market and as what you mentioned, there is lesser pump and dump because it has more volume compared to other coins that are easily manipulated by the whales.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Can bitcoin replace money?
« on: September 28, 2018, 04:25:46 AM »
The intension of creating btc is to act as digital cash, that is solely controlled by individuals without Government interference. "I stand to be corrected" if that's true, will it "bitcoin" be generally accepted as one united digital currency?

I don't think so. The government won't allow it that they will lose control of its people because a cryptocurrency appeared taking over the normal flow of transactions and some would not be able to manipulate anymore the books because of transparency. Even if many people would use bitcoin, fiat is still needed due to the limitations when it comes to cryptocurrencies that is needing an internet connection and its not possible in some areas.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: what do you think about day trading
« on: September 26, 2018, 01:23:17 PM »
i want mate to explain this to me , thinking of doing day trading?

Day trading means buying and selling the coin the same day given that you will have a profit from it or loss for that matter if you don't want to hold the coin overnight. When it comes to trading cryptocurrency however that is always open 24/7, you decide for yourself when would you be starting your day and when it would end but then most of the time it would be base on GMT. If you want to lessen your learning curve and learn to trade quickly then day trading would be the fastest way to do it since you are in the market always so you would be familiar with it.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: How can scam projects be controlled?
« on: September 21, 2018, 05:05:53 AM »
Since there are no regulations yet as to how to address those scam projects, crypto enthusiasts should help each other in exposing those scams. Being a member of the forum, one should share with others if they notice something fishy about a project because they can prevent others to be scammed. If many would be in a consensus of doing it then the scam projects would be lessened until such time that forums or sites would be more strict in posting their ICOs.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: why is it important to HODL?
« on: September 20, 2018, 05:19:37 AM »
HODL when you can but I would advise against it when you are in a bear market. If possible as early as possible just exit when you can so that you can minimize losses and then trade on the way down. Some are even profitable when the price is going down because they can short it but not everyone can do it. If you already lose more than half of the value of your account then just hold it and buy some more so that you can average down and it would be much better to trade from time to time to get back those losses.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Do you think government really want to stop bitcoin
« on: September 19, 2018, 05:19:10 AM »
Bitcoin is now very useful to others to the point that they accept it as the way of payment in spite of the fud, crash, and the resistance of some prominent personalities, and by being not yet globally accepted. But the strong enemy of bitcoin is no other than the government because even the government sees the importance of bitcoin and the big positive impact to a country they still want bitcoin to stop and bring it down although there are few countries are already accepted bitcoin.
In a country with a government full of resistance against bitcoin, what do you think is the main reason that pushing them to do things against bitcoin?

Because of its anonymity feature, the government is afraid that their citizens would use it for illegal purposes because they can conceal their identities behind those addresses and one can easily create hundreds of addresses so that he would not be traceable. They are afraid that illegal activities would increase when they allow bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, in general, to be allowed in their countries. While they can benefit from it if they would just regulate it, they are just banning it altogether because they don't want any additional work involved.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Where can I sell my airdropped crypto?
« on: September 18, 2018, 04:25:43 AM »
You can do it P2P trading or you can just find an exchange where the coin is listed. If the coin has a community then you might find someone who wanted to buy your coin but I bet it would be lower than the ICO price and there is the risk that you will not be paid unless you sell it to your friend that might be interested in it. The team may also buy back the coin after some time. Check their roadmap if they have any plans of doing it.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: How to pick the best signature campaign?
« on: September 16, 2018, 11:05:56 AM »
When there is an opportunity, I would like to participate in a campaign that is payable weekly or the tokens are escrewed because there is a tendency that when a token is with the team, it may be delayed or you may not be paid at all. If there is no choice then I would check the project first like their social media accounts and how active they are in promoting their project and if the team is attending conferences and seminars because it's a proof that they are actively promoting the project.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Are there many women in Cryptocurrency?
« on: September 15, 2018, 04:10:47 AM »
Well, there are women cryptocurrency groups so I am sure there are women in cryptocurrency. They just choose to keep being silent at times because it is a men dominated industry and some are degrading someone when they knew that the one they are transacting to is a woman. There are women who are founders in some projects and sooner or later, more women would join cryptocurrency industry. I know some women who are into crypto and they are doing good.
